- Real-World Clinical Outcomes and Corticosteroid Tapering in Telitacicept-Based Therapy for Ocular Myasthenia Gravis: An Exploratory Analysis by Prior Treatment History. [Multicenter Study]Brain Behav. 2026 Oct; 16(10):e71816.BB
- CONCLUSIONS: In this exploratory cohort, telitacicept-based therapy may represent a promising option for OMG, with favorable clinical outcomes, substantial prednisone dose reduction, and acceptable short-term tolerability in patients with different prior treatment histories. Further prospective controlled studies are warranted.

- Effusion Unveiled: Impending Cardiac Tamponade as the Initial Manifestation of Rheumatoid Arthritis. [Case Reports]J Investig Med High Impact Case Rep. 2026; 14:23247096261497014.JI
- Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized primarily by inflammatory polyarthritis, although extra-articular manifestations, including pericardial disease, are well recognized. While pericardial effusions are relatively common, large symptomatic effusions causing cardiac tamponade as the initial manifestation of RA are exceedingly rare. We report a 75-year-old woman …

- Spontaneous Postpartum Hematomas Revealing Acquired Hemophilia A with Extreme Inhibitor Interference: a Case Report and Literature Review. [Case Reports]Clin Lab. 2026 Oct 01; 72(10):2320-2325.CL
- CONCLUSIONS: Extremely high-titer anti-factor VIII antibodies can cause spurious multi-factor deficiencies through assay interference rather than true multiple factor inhibition. Serial dilution studies are essential for accurate diagnosis. This interference phenomenon must be recognized in order to avoid misdiagnosis and ensure appropriate treatment of severe AHA.

- Case Report: Steroid-responsive recurrent iron-deficiency anemia in pediatric collagenous gastritis. [Case Reports]Front Pediatr. 2026; 14:1969954.FP
- Collagenous gastritis (CG) is a rare inflammatory disorder of the stomach and an uncommon but important cause of iron-deficiency anemia in children. Currently, there are no accepted therapeutic guidelines for treating these patients. We report a case in an 11-year-old boy who presented with recurrent iron-deficiency anemia requiring blood transfusion with an ultimate diagnosis of CG on repeat end…

- Evaluating the effectiveness of quadruple therapy for chronic histiocytic intervillositis. [Journal Article]J Obstet Gynaecol Can. 2026 Oct 07; :103538. [Online ahead of print]JO
- CONCLUSIONS: Patients with a history of CHI who were treated with the quadruple therapy in subsequent pregnancies had good livebirth rate, longer latency of gestation, and less inflammation on placental pathologies in the treated pregnancies.

- Multiple relapses of cryptogenic organizing pneumonia: A case report. [Case Reports]Exp Ther Med. 2026 Nov; 32(5):301.ET
- Cryptogenic organizing pneumonia (COP) is an important subtype of idiopathic interstitial pneumonia, triggered by abnormal inflammatory responses of the lung to unknown stimuli. The disease shows good initial sensitivity to glucocorticoid therapy, but ~50% of patients experience recurrence after glucocorticoid dose reduction or withdrawal. Cases of multiple recurrences (≥3 times) are rarely repor…

- Pulmonary tuberculosis occurring during the diagnosis and treatment of sarcoidosis complicated by chylothorax: A case report. [Case Reports]
- Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disorder, and chylothorax is a rare but severe pleural complication of this disease and exhibits a prominent diagnostic overlap with tuberculosis. The present study reported the case of a 48-year-old woman who was admitted in May 2018 with chronic cough and chest tightness. After hospitalization for 17 days, comprehensive examinations excluded tuberculosis …

- Beyond Crohn's disease: ileal Kaposi sarcoma in a transplant recipient presenting with subocclusive symptoms. A concomitant diagnosis of Crohn's disease and ileal Kaposi sarcoma. [Journal Article]Minerva Gastroenterol (Torino). 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]MG
- CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights the importance of considering intestinal Kaposi sarcoma in the differential diagnosis of refractory or atypical Crohn's disease in immunosuppressed patients. It also suggests that, in carefully selected cases with localized disease, surgical resection alone may represent an effective therapeutic strategy, allowing continuation of essential immunosuppressive therapy.

- Analysis and Interpretation of a Hierarchical Outcome in a Small Pilot Randomized Trial: An Example in the CORTAHF Trial. [Journal Article]Eur Heart J Cardiovasc Pharmacother. 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]EH
- CONCLUSIONS: Patients' ranks can be derived from GPC and used to estimate stratified and covariate-adjusted win statistics as well as to visualize the treatment effect. Use of a well-constructed HCE in a small pilot trial should be considered; a positive signal may support further examination of the treatment. A full analysis can aid in interpretation.

- Febrile neutropenia in adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma receiving first-line R-CHOP-based therapy: a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational and trial evidence. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: In routine practice, approximately one in five adults with DLBCL receiving first-line R-CHOP-based therapy develops FN-an incidence at, rather than below, the conventional 20% threshold for primary G-CSF prophylaxis. Trial-derived estimates should not be assumed to represent this burden.

- CONCLUSIONS: These hypothesis-generating observations suggest OFA, administered at this individualized dosing regimen, may be associated with more sustained 6-month responses than low-dose RTX, warranting validation in prospective controlled trials.

- In this phase II trial, we evaluated the addition of the CD3xCD20 bispecific antibody, glofitamab (glofit) to polatuzumab, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and prednisone (pola-R-CHP) in patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and an international prognostic index (IPI) [3] 2. Patients received two cycles of pola-R-CHP (one cycle of R-CHOP allowed). Glofitamab…

- Tissue-based PEG10 expression as an exploratory biomarker associated with first-line R-CHOP treatment outcome in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. [Journal Article]Future Oncol. 2026 Oct 06; :1-13. [Online ahead of print]FO
- CONCLUSIONS: Tissue PEG10 overexpression is associated with adverse clinicopathological features and unfavorable R-CHOP response and may serve as an exploratory complementary tissue-based biomarker in DLBCL. These findings require validation in larger prospective multicenter cohorts before clinical implementation in practice.

- Efficacy and Safety of Olaparib plus Abiraterone Versus Placebo plus Abiraterone in the Non-BRCA Mutation Subgroup of Patients with Metastatic Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer in the PROpel Trial. [Journal Article]Eur Urol Oncol. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]EU
- CONCLUSIONS: Olaparib plus abiraterone provided numerically longer rPFS versus placebo plus abiraterone, with no new safety signals, in the non-BRCAm subgroup of patients with mCRPC in PROpel. Our findings support olaparib plus abiraterone as an important new treatment option for consideration in patients with non-BRCAm mCRPC.
