- CONCLUSIONS: Although residual confounding and concurrent changes in closure configuration, suture material/product, and treatment era preclude attribution to a specific component, the greater adjusted 3-month RMT observed in the EP group provides a hypothesis-generating anatomical signal that warrants prospective evaluation.

- A Prospective Study of Life Impact in Five Domains During Menses in a Cohort of Early Adolescents. [Journal Article]J Pediatr Adolesc Gynecol. 2026 Oct 30. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Dysmenorrhea was highly prevalent in early post-menarcheal adolescents and symptoms beyond pain, such as anxiety and headaches, were frequently reported. The modified WaLIDD score was associated with life impact during menses in this population.

- Frequencies of thyroid-related diagnoses and dyslipidemia among Japanese women with menstrual-related disorders aged under 40 years: A nationwide cross-sectional study using health insurance claims data. [Journal Article]
- Women with endometriosis and dysmenorrhea are increasingly recognized as having systemic comorbidities beyond pelvic disease, but large-scale data on endocrine and metabolic comorbidities across a broad menstrual-related disorders population remain limited. Using the Japan Medical Data Center Claims Database, we conducted a nationwide cross-sectional study of women aged under 40 years enrolled in…

- The impact of menstruation-related symptoms on women's quality of life, work productivity, and economic burden: a structured narrative review. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: This review highlights the multidimensional burden of menstruation-related disorders extending from physical symptoms to mental health and functional outcomes. The predominance of presenteeism suggested that conventional metrics based on absenteeism underestimate the true societal impact. The observed gap between symptom improvement and functional recovery underscored the need for integrated approaches that could address both clinical and psychosocial pathways.

- Hysteroscopic vs. laparoscopic management of cesarian scar defect: a meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Patients undergoing hysteroscopic management of CSD had shorter operative time, shorter length of stay, less blood loss, less costs, and less complications. However, they also had less improvement in RMT. Nevertheless, both techniques did not differ in post-operative symptoms, adverse events, or pregnancy-related outcomes, making them both a viable option for the management of CSD.

- Investigating Interoceptive Beliefs in Individuals With Endometriosis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: These results indicate that those with endometriosis differ in their interoceptive beliefs and that these differences may be influenced by their pain experience. Given these findings largely align with changes observed in other conditions marked by pain, it is possible that interoceptive changes may represent a transdiagnostic characteristic across individuals experiencing pain.

- Gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonists versus agonists for endometriosis: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Leuprolide-based GnRH-a provides superior symptom control, whereas GnRH-ant offers less decline in BMD and reversible ovarian suppression, but differences among individual antagonists should be considered. Treatment selection should be individualized based on symptom severity, bone health, and fertility goals. Long-term head-to-head trials are warranted.

- Malignant transformation of deep infiltrating endometriosis at the uterosacral ligament to endometrioid adenocarcinoma: a rare Case Report. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: This paper describes an unusual case where deep infiltrating endometriosis of the uterosacral ligament led to malignant transformation. During long-term treatment and surgery for endometriosis, the potential for malignant transformation and the malignant characteristics of endometriosis should be fully considered. Prompt and thorough surgical intervention is crucial.

- CONCLUSIONS: The E4/DRSP combination regimen appears to be an effective and well-tolerated treatment for dysmenorrhea in women with recurrent endometriosis and/or adenomyosis. It may serve as a viable long-term hormonal option, for those intolerant or have contraindications to conventional therapies.

- Use of Botanical Ingredients Relevant to Premenstrual Symptoms and Dysmenorrhea Among Elite Female Athletes: Evidence from Doping Control Forms. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Declarations of botanical ingredients studied for PMS and dysmenorrhea were infrequent on DCFs completed by female athletes. Because DCFs do not record the reason for use, these data cannot establish whether declarations reflected treatment of menstrual symptoms; studies assessing indication, symptom status and motivation are needed.
