  • Spontaneous haemarthrosis after tenecteplase administration for acute ischaemic stroke. [Case Reports]
BMJ Case Rep. 2026 Aug 10; 19(8).Goldstein R, Menashe GBC
  • Tenecteplase (TNK), a genetically modified fibrinolytic agent, is increasingly used for acute ischaemic stroke because of its single-bolus administration and fibrin specificity. Haemarthrosis is an uncommon manifestation of bleeding that may occur in the setting of systemic fibrinolysis. We describe a man in his 70s who developed sudden right knee pain and swelling consistent with haemarthrosis 4…
  • Arthroscopy-assisted inferior compartment arthrocentesis of the temporomandibular joint. [Journal Article]
Oral Maxillofac Surg. 2026 Jul 30; 30(1).de Barros RCM, Nogueira LM, Ono HYOM
  • CONCLUSIONS: This pilot series suggests that arthroscopy-assisted needle-based access to the inferior TMJ compartment appears feasible and safe, yielding clinically meaningful improvements in pain and motion. The technique is cost-effective and reproducible, and may expand minimally invasive therapeutic options for advanced internal derangements. Controlled comparative studies are required to establish its incremental benefit over superior compartment arthroscopy alone.
