  • Predictive compaction modelling of ternary direct compression formulations. [Journal Article]
    Int J Pharm. 2026 Aug 03; :127253. [Online ahead of print]Tait T, Salehian M, … Markl DIJ
  • Developing directly-compressed formulations remains a resource-intensive task, requiring substantial experimental effort to characterise the compressibility and compactability of a formulation space. This study extends a global optimisation of mixture rules to a ternary formulation space (API-brittle filler-elastic filler) and investigates the potential for reducing experimental burden whilst mai…
  • Neonatal Medical Male Circumcision and Child Autism Diagnosis. [Journal Article]
JAMA Pediatr. 2026 Aug 03. [Online ahead of print]McGrath M, Li X, … ECHO Cohort ConsortiumJP
  • CONCLUSIONS: This cohort study yielded no evidence that NMC was associated with ASD risk, whether assessed by parent report of medical professional diagnosis or validated instruments measuring autism-related traits and behavior. These findings may provide reassurance for families who are considering or have elected NMC for their child.
  • Maternal and Early Developmental Effects of Perinatal Exposure to Therapeutically Relevant Doses of Common Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs in Rats. [Journal Article]
Birth Defects Res. 2026 Aug; 118(8):e70104.Dos Santos STC, Castro RLM, … Arena ACBD
  • CONCLUSIONS: Perinatal exposure to therapeutically relevant doses of paracetamol/acetaminophen, aspirin, and nimesulide produced little evidence of overt maternal or developmental toxicity during the evaluated period. Although a limited number of drug-specific findings were identified, they were isolated and did not indicate a consistent pattern of reproductive toxicity. These results contribute to the preclinical safety assessment of NSAID exposure during pregnancy and lactation and support further studies to determine the functional relevance of these early observations.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical contaminants in stranded wild dolphins of the Western Mediterranean. [Journal Article]
    Sci Total Environ. 2026 Aug 01; 1048:182064. [Online ahead of print]Navas I, Felipo-Benavent M, … García-Fernández AJST
  • Pharmaceutical contamination in aquatic ecosystems is a growing concern for marine biodiversity and human health. We have detected six different non-steroideal anti-inflamatory drugs (carprofen, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, phenylbutazone, diclofenac and flunixin), five antibiotics (florfenicol, enrofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, oxytetracycline and trimethoprim), acetaminophen and caffeine in liver samples …
  • Quadruplex Bioactive FAND for Treating Acute Liver Failure Induced by Acetaminophen or Hepatectomy. [Journal Article]
    Exploration (Beijing). 2026 Jul 31; :70204. [Online ahead of print]Sun M, Fang F, … Zhang JE
  • Acute liver failure (ALF), characterized by severe hepatocyte necrosis with a high mortality rate, remains a major global health challenge. However, there are currently no effective drug options for the clinical treatment of ALF. Herein, inspired by the new concept of a full-API nanodrug (FAND), we have rationally developed a quadruplex bioactive FAND (termed FAND[HP@FuEVs]) composed entirely of …
