- How telemonitoring impacts the responsibilities of patients and healthcare professionals in cardiology: A Q-methodology study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Ambiguity about responsibilities create practical and ethical challenges, including increased workload for nurses, lack of overview among cardiologists, anxiety in patients, and inconsistent care delivery. Unrecognized or unaddressed differences in views about roles and responsibilities using telemonitoring can negatively affect patient care. Appropriate implementation and use of telemonitoring requires sound ethical prologue and dialogue, not only to sensitize stakeholders about differing interpretations of responsibility, but also to ensure a structured approach when implementing telemonitoring to support best care.

- High-Torque Interval Warm-Up Increases Internal Load Compared With a Classic Protocol but Does Not Affect Subsequent Time-Trial Performance. [Randomized Controlled Trial]Int J Sports Physiol Perform. 2026 Oct 01; 21(10):1181-1190.IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: These findings indicate that, while the WUT induces stronger physiological activation, it does not enhance short time-trial performance compared with a traditional approach. Both strategies appear equally effective in preparing cyclists for short, maximal efforts, suggesting that the choice of warm-up may depend on individual preference, event context, and practical constraints rather than expected performance gains.

- Prologue: language abilities in persons with dyslexia. [Introductory Journal Article]
- The purpose of this special issue is to showcase current research on language abilities in persons with dyslexia. Although dyslexia is most often defined as a word-level reading and spelling disorder rooted in phonology, a large and growing body of evidence shows that the language difficulties of dyslexia extend well beyond phonology and are too often overlooked in research and practice. The arti…

- Sex differences in speed and sub-technique selection in elite sprint cross-country skiers: a time-trial qualification analysis. [Journal Article]Front Sports Act Living. 2026; 8:1845432.FS
- CONCLUSIONS: Elite male cross-country skiers were ∼14% faster than performance-matched female skiers during a sprint time-trial qualification with equal distance. The most notable difference appeared on uphill terrain, where men relied more heavily on double poling and achieved longer cycle lengths across all sub-techniques. Consequently, female and male skiers face distinct sport-specific demands when competing over equal distances.

- Properties and Prospects of B Chromosomes. [Review]
- Nonessential, supernumerary B chromosomes have been an intriguing anomaly known to researchers for over a century. B chromosomes were first identified in insects and have since been discovered in hundreds of species across many different taxa. Their prevalence has made it difficult to strictly define the nature of a B chromosome due to the variety of sizes, genetic compositions, and segregation b…
