- Predictive value of frontal QRS-T angle for no-reflow phenomenon in patients with acute coronary syndrome. [Journal Article]
- BACKGROUND: Coronary no-reflow phenomenon (NRP) is a complex condition that can be observed frequently after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and is associated with significant adverse cardiac events and a poor prognosis. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the relationship between the frontal QRS-T angle, which has been associated with myoca…

- A novel electrocardiographic risk score for sudden cardiac arrest in patients with atrial fibrillation: The SCAAF-ERS. [Journal Article]Heart Rhythm. 2026 Aug; 23(8):e1482-e1492.HR
- CONCLUSIONS: SCA risk was predicted successfully from AF ECGs, with a novel risk score displaying 13- to 23-fold increased odds. Further validation of the SCAAF-ERS in larger, diverse populations is warranted.

- Repolarisation disturbances in ischaemic stroke: unveiling the prognostic role of the frontal QRS-T angle. [Journal Article]Cardiovasc J Afr. 2025 Sep 15; 36(3):347-352.CJ
- CONCLUSIONS: The frontal QRS-T angle is a valuable prognostic marker for mortality and adverse events in cryptogenic ischaemic stroke patients. This simple parameter could be integrated into clinical practice to identify patients at higher risk for adverse outcomes, allowing for more targeted monitoring and management.

- The atrial electrocardiogram in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation. [Journal Article]Heart Rhythm. 2026 Jan; 23(1):77-88.HR
- CONCLUSIONS: This study provides the practical basis for further use of the A-ECG as a novel tool for evaluating persistent AF and demonstrates its clinical relevance. Further phenotypic classification of AF based on the A-ECG and assessment of treatment response should be explored.

- Effect of dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitor, on ventricular repolarization electrocardiographic parameters in type 2 diabetes patients: DAPA - ECG study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In patients with T2DM, dapagliflozin significantly shortened the TpTe and QTc intervals, as well as the TpTe/QT ratio. These results suggest a reduction in ventricular electrical remodeling, highlighting a potential cardioprotective effect of dapagliflozin.

- Triple pacing spikes on QRST: What is the mechanism? [Case Reports]J Electrocardiol. 2025; 88:153849.JE
- A septuagenarian man underwent dual chamber pacemaker (DDDR - Boston Scientific Massachusetts, U.S.) insertion for a complete heart block. Intra-procedural lead parameters were within normal limits. Frequent multisite origin premature ventricular complexes were noted even on pre-procedural electrocardiogram (ECG). On the follow-up ECG one pacing spike on the QRS of the first beat was followed by …

- QRS complex and T wave planarity for the efficacy prediction of automatic implantable defibrillators. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The analysed data suggest that QRS and T wave non-planarity might offer distinction between patients who are at greater risk of death despite ICD protection and those who are likely to use the defibrillator protection.

- Relationship between parameters of myocardial electrical remodeling and parameters of contractile function, deformation and myocardium work in patients with chronic heart failure with low left ventricular ejection fraction and atrial fibrillation. [Journal Article]
- Aim To compare electrocardiographic parameters and characteristics of myocardial contractility by echocardiography data in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) with low left ventricular ejection fraction (LV EF) and atrial fibrillation (AF).Material and methods The study included 66 patients with CHF and LV EF ≤40%. Electrocardiography was used to assess the QRS complex duration, QRS fragmen…

- Evaluation of frontal QRS-T angle values in electrocardiography in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Both f(QRS-T) angle and NLR are significantly increased in CRS patients compared to healthy controls, with increases in NLR also independently associating with increases in f(QRS-T) angle. While the increases in f(QRS-T) angle did not result in clinically alarming absolute values for f(QRS-T), CRS patients might nonetheless be at relatively higher risk for malignant cardiac arrhythmias.

- A novel marker to predict cardiac arrhythmia in epilepsy patients: frontal QRS-T angle. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: FTQ angle, a relatively new repolarization parameter, can be used as an inexpensive, easy, reproducible, and reliable ECG marker to predict the risk of adverse cardiac events in epilepsy patients.

- The predictive value of Tp-Te interval, Tp-Te/QT ratio, and QRS-T angle of idiopathic ventricular tachycardia in patients with ventricular premature beats. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Tp-Te interval, Tp-Te/QT ratio, and QRS-T angle may have a predictive value of presence of idiopathic VT in patients with premature beats and the combined prediction of these indexes is more valuable. Tp-Te interval maybe helpful for prediction of sustained idiopathic VT.

- The Relationship between the Frontal QRS-T Angle on ECG and Physical Activity Level in Young Adults. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The physical activity regime of young adults significantly influences the concordance between ventricular depolarization and repolarization, reflected in the FQRST's width. Also, we found a regression model between FQRST and BMI with statistical significance.

- TIME- AND FREQUENCY-BASED INDEPENDENT EVALUATION OF QRST CANCELLATION TECHNIQUES FOR SINGLE-LEAD ELECTROCARDIOGRAMS DURING ATRIAL FIBRILLATION. [Journal Article]
- With the increased prevalence of atrial fibrillation (AF) - a rhythm disturbance in heart's top chambers - there is growing interest in accurate non-invasive diagnosis of atrial activity to improve its therapy. A key component in non-invasive analysis of atrial activity is a successful removal of the ventricular QRST complexes from electrocardiograms (ECGs). In this study, we have developed a new…
