  • Tramadol for Refractory Restless Legs Syndrome Following Methadone Intolerance: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
    Cureus. 2026 Aug; 18(8):e114310.Pham B, Thai VC
  • Restless legs syndrome (RLS) refractory to guideline-directed therapy may require treatment with low-dose opioids. Methadone is an established option for refractory RLS but may be limited by medication intolerance. We present a 52-year-old woman with refractory RLS who failed multiple pharmacologic therapies, including ropinirole, carbidopa/levodopa, gabapentin, and pregabalin. Methadone produced…
  • The emerging role of NAT10-mediated N4-acetylcytidine modification of RNA in bone diseases: Current frontiers and future challenges. [Review]
    Life Sci. 2026 Oct 01; 402:124582.Luo G, Ning Z, Yang HLS
  • CONCLUSIONS: NAT10-mediated ac4C modification represents an emerging regulatory mechanism in skeletal biology. Accumulating evidence supports its involvement in osteoporosis, inflammatory bone loss, osteoarthritis, and osteosarcoma through effects on RNA stability, translation efficiency, and downstream signaling. Substantial gaps nonetheless remain. In particular, it is still unclear how ac4C on specific transcripts controls bone- and cartilage-cell function, and to what extent these modifications are dynamically regulated across disease states.
  • Dopamine-Enhancing Therapies and Risk of Neovascular AMD Conversion: A Target Trial Emulation. [Multicenter Study]
    Am J Ophthalmol. 2026 Oct; 290:246-251.Fazal O, Loya A, … Patel NAAJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: In this cohort study, levodopa ± carbidopa use was associated with lower 3-year risk of conversion to nAMD in two independent matched comparisons, whereas DRD2 agonists were not associated with significant differences in risk. These findings suggest dopaminergic signaling may influence AMD progression and warrant further prospective investigation.
  • Clinical aspects of impulsive-compulsive behaviors under dopaminergic treatment-A scoping review. [Journal Article]
    Australas Psychiatry. 2026 Mar 28; :10398562261439053. [Online ahead of print]Wolfschlag M, Ståhl D, … Odin PAP
  • ObjectiveDopaminergic medications are commonly prescribed for Parkinson's disease (PD), restless legs syndrome, pituitary and psychotic disorders. Accumulating evidence indicates that dopaminergic treatment triggers impulsive-compulsive behaviors (ICBs), yet systematic synthesis of clinical evidence remains limited.MethodThis scoping review summarizes original research directly clinically relevan…
