- CONCLUSIONS: Localizing the electric field using two deflection electrodes enhances ion signal intensity, sensitivity, and quantitative limits in the ESI source configuration examined here. These results indicate that spatial control of the deflection field is an effective strategy for improving ion transmission in an orthogonal ESI source.

- CONCLUSIONS: The neuroprotective effect of NBP against cerebral ischemic injury may involve the upregulation of the VMAT-DAT-dopamine cycle, which appears to contribute to the amelioration of synaptic dysfunction. The activation of D1R and its downstream adenosine A1Rs is involved in the neuroprotection mechanism.

- CONCLUSIONS: This case suggests that rare acute hyperactive delirium-like episodes may occur in patients who have recently discontinued long-term reserpine therapy and are receiving dexmedetomidine sedation during the perioperative period. Clinically, careful titration and close monitoring of mental status and hemodynamics are necessary.
