  • CONCLUSIONS: In appropriately selected patients, specifically those with focal angular post-traumatic kyphosis, an intact contralateral tension band, and no severe rotational component, UPVCR demonstrates radiographic and clinical outcomes that are non-inferior to BPVCR for kyphotic angle correction, while showing statistically significant reductions in operative time, blood loss, and hospital stay. Complication rates, while numerically lower, did not differ significantly between groups, and this study was underpowered to evaluate complications. Confirmation in larger, prospective, adequately powered studies is required before practice recommendations can be made.

Combining this metric with the VBQ score further enhances predictive efficacy. However, standardized measurement protocols and multicenter validation are still required to confirm these findings and establish their clinical utility.

  • CONCLUSIONS: In this single-center retrospective cohort, postoperative hospitalization was generally short. Prolonged LOS was more closely associated with early postoperative neurological change than with baseline comorbidity or interbody cage use. These findings should be interpreted as short-term, context-specific observations from a complex, predominantly instrumented referral cohort.

  • CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that combining autoantibodies and tumor markers may improve the early detection of lung cancer, offering a potentially non-invasive, cost-effective, and accurate diagnostic tool. However, due to the limitations of our study, such as the relatively small sample size and single-center design, these results need to be validated in larger, multi-center cohorts. This combined biomarker approach could complement existing screening methods, but further research is required to confirm its clinical utility and integration into current screening practices.
