- CONCLUSIONS: This study introduces a standardised semi-field bioassay to evaluate ITS, generating entomological data that, for the first time, enabled modelling of its potential impact on malaria transmission. ITS is an efficacious tool for public health as it kills substantial proportions of malaria and dengue vectors, and reduces nuisance biting. Given its simplicity, it should be considered an additional or stand-alone tool for screening unimproved houses.

- CONCLUSIONS: The presence of physician-documented complaints pertaining to the trunk skeleton have a relevant probability of triggering imaging studies in older persons with LEF in the ED. Nevertheless, these complaints do not safely enable discrimination between individuals with and without fractures and are of limited value modifying the subsequent diagnostic imaging process.

- Unilateral posterior vertebral column resection versus bilateral approach for post-traumatic thoracic angular kyphosis: a propensity-matched non-inferiority study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In appropriately selected patients, specifically those with focal angular post-traumatic kyphosis, an intact contralateral tension band, and no severe rotational component, UPVCR demonstrates radiographic and clinical outcomes that are non-inferior to BPVCR for kyphotic angle correction, while showing statistically significant reductions in operative time, blood loss, and hospital stay. Complication rates, while numerically lower, did not differ significantly between groups, and this study was underpowered to evaluate complications. Confirmation in larger, prospective, adequately powered studies is required before practice recommendations can be made.

- CONCLUSIONS: Site-specific HU measurement at the posterior endplate is superior to traditional methods for predicting cage subsidence following TLIF. Combining this metric with the VBQ score further enhances predictive efficacy. However, standardized measurement protocols and multicenter validation are still required to confirm these findings and establish their clinical utility.

- CONCLUSIONS: Since mean MTPM at the optimal angle combination and surrounding region was significantly below that of the anatomic orientation, migration results for cementless baseplates should be computed using a local implant coordinate system with the baseplate positioned in the optimal region. - CONCLUSIONS: In this single-center retrospective cohort, postoperative hospitalization was generally short. Prolonged LOS was more closely associated with early postoperative neurological change than with baseline comorbidity or interbody cage use. - The early diagnostic value of lung cancer autoantibodies and tumor markers in lung cancer. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that combining autoantibodies and tumor markers may improve the early detection of lung cancer, offering a potentially non-invasive, cost-effective, and accurate diagnostic tool. However, due to the limitations of our study, such as the relatively small sample size and single-center design, these results need to be validated in larger, multi-center cohorts. This combined biomarker approach could complement existing screening methods, but further research is required to confirm its clinical utility and integration into current screening practices.
