  • A Novel Slowly Evolving Lineage of the Desulforudis Clade From the Deep Subsurface. [Journal Article]
Environ Microbiol. 2026 Apr; 28(4):e70293.Karnachuk OV, Lukina AP, … Ravin NVEM
  • Endemic to the deep subsurface biosphere sulphate-reducing 'Desulforudis audaxviator' has been called a living microbial fossil due to the high nucleotide sequence identity of its genomes across continents. Evolutionary stasis of this bacterium was established based on the analysis of metagenome assembled genomes, single cell genomes and a single axenic culture. The lack of high-quality reference…
  • Drugs and Lactation Database (LactMed): Trimethobenzamide [BOOK]
Drugs and Lactation Database (LactMed). National Library of Medicine (US): Bethesda (MD).BOOK
  • Because no information is available on the continuous use of trimethobenzamide during breastfeeding, an alternate drug may be preferred, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant. Occasional, short-term use of trimethobenzamide for the treatment of nausea and vomiting appears to be acceptable.[1]
  • Broad Spectrum Enantioselective Amide Bond Synthetase from Streptoalloteichus hindustanus. [Journal Article]
    ACS Catal. 2024 Jan 19; 14(2):1021-1029.Tang Q, Petchey M, … Grogan GAC
  • The synthesis of amide bonds is one of the most frequently performed reactions in pharmaceutical synthesis, but the requirement for stoichiometric quantities of coupling agents and activated substrates in established methods has prompted interest in biocatalytic alternatives. Amide Bond Synthetases (ABSs) actively catalyze both the ATP-dependent adenylation of carboxylic acid substrates and their…
  • Concentration of hs-Troponin in small cohort of transgender patients. [Journal Article]
Clin Chim Acta. 2023 Jan 15; 539:66-69.Boone S, Peacock WF, … Dadkhah SCC
  • CONCLUSIONS: In this cohort of stable transgender patients without CHF or CKD, we did not observe differences in hs-Tn concentrations between transgender women and transgender men. Meaningful conclusions are limited owing to inadequate sample size and population differences. Further research on hs-troponin concentrations in this underrepresented, vulnerable population is needed.
