- Single-Cell Analysis of Residual Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma After Neoadjuvant Immunochemotherapy Reveals TFAM-Mediated Immunoregulation in Dendritic Cells. [Journal Article]Cancer Res. 2026 Jul 20. [Online ahead of print]CR
- Neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (nICT) has emerged as a promising neoadjuvant strategy for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Identification of the factors affecting the responsiveness to nICT could help further improve treatment efficacy. Here, we performed single-cell analysis on 14 ESCC patients undergoing nICT and revealed tumor microenvironment (TME) features associated with different…

- Sexual Intercourse and Alloimmunity. Influence on Reproduction and Solid Organ Transplantation. [Journal Article]Transplantation. 2026 Jul 20. [Online ahead of print]T
- Sexual intercourse is associated with recognition of partner-derived major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and minor histocompatibility alloantigens (MiHAs) by females. Male sperm-associated MHC antigens, expressed on spermatozoa and leukocytes, as well as MiHAs including sperm-specific antigens (SPAGs), are recognized by female T lymphocytes infiltrating the cervicovaginal region. This can occu…

- Airway epithelial cells (AEC) are the primary sources of Semaphorin3E (Sema3E) in human airways and its expression is downregulated in severe asthmatics, underscoring the AEC-derived Sema3E critical role in lung homeostasis. Here, we investigated the effects of AEC-derived Sema3E on immune responses in an acute house dust mite (HDM) asthma model. Transgenic Sema3E overexpression in AECs, using ta…

- Therapeutic Potential of Ginkgolic Acid C17:1 in Modulating PTEN/mtDNA/TLR9 Axis for Alleviating Chronic Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Infection in Bronchiectasis. [Journal Article]Iran J Biotechnol. 2026 Jul; 24(3).IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates that GAC 17:1, a natural bioactive compound, exerts potent significant effects in PA-related bronchiectasis by activating PTEN and inhibiting the mtDNA/TLR9/NF-κB pathway. Our findings highlight GAC 17:1 as a promising biotechnological candidate for developing plant-derived immunomodulatory therapies against chronic airway infections.

- A novel linker region truncating variant in BCL10 underlies a leaky immunodeficiency phenotype. [Case Reports]Pediatr Allergy Immunol. 2026 Jul; 37(7):e70441.PA
- CONCLUSIONS: This novel linker-region truncating BCL10 variant was associated with leaky combined immunodeficiency with immune dysregulation. Defective CBM-dependent NF-κB activation coexisted with secondary activation of CBM-independent inflammatory and AP-1/MAPK-related programs, suggesting that inflammatory remodeling may contribute to the nonclassical phenotype.

- Endometriosis is a chronic, heterogenous disorder in which cyclical hemorrhage and repetitive repair generate ectopic implants that persist, recur, and drive pain and infertility; conventional frameworks emphasizing hormonal aberration and immune failure incompletely explain lesion fibrotic maturation and spatial heterogeneity. We synthesize human, experimental, and emerging spatial-omic evidence…

- Impact of immunotherapy as a monotherapy or in combination with conventional therapies on regulatory T-cell (Treg) modulation in prostate cancer: a systematic review. [Systematic Review]BMC Cancer. 2026 Jul 17. [Online ahead of print]BC
- CONCLUSIONS: Successful modulation of the prostate TME requires shifting from monotherapy toward combination strategies that overcome Treg-mediated immunosuppression. Effector-to-Treg ratios and functional markers, rather than Treg frequency alone, may better predict outcomes, as CD8[+] infiltration does not always reflect restored cytotoxicity. These findings highlight the dual potential of Tregs as therapeutic targets and biomarkers in prostate cancer.

- CONCLUSIONS: Blocking AhR, which is modified by SUMO1 and deSUMOylated by SENP1, alleviates ITP-induced Th17/Treg imbalance through SENP1-mediated deSUMOylation.

- The transcription factor SREBP2 supports the activation and homeostasis of CD4+ Foxp3+ regulatory T cells. [Journal Article]J Immunol. 2026 Jul 10; 215(7).JI
- Periodic activation of regulatory T cells (Tregs) is necessary to restrict autoreactive T cells and maintain immune homeostasis. IL-2-STAT5 signaling instructs several metabolic processes underlying Treg activation, including the mevalonate pathway, which is crucial for optimal Treg responses. However, direct links between IL-2-STAT5, mevalonate, and Treg function have yet to be established. To e…
