- Level of preparedness to use psilocybin among individuals seeking psychedelic risk reduction: a retrospective study of a pilot psychiatric consultation service. [Journal Article]Front Public Health. 2026; 14:1921031.FP
- CONCLUSIONS: Patients utilizing a novel consultation service demonstrate a high prevalence of trauma, prior psilocybin use, and baseline preparedness. While preliminary, this study is among the first describing patients seeking medical and psychiatric consultation when considering psilocybin and highlights potential roles of healthcare systems in providing evidence-based patient education and risk reduction as interest in psychedelics grows.

- Haematological toxicity associated with antineoplastic drugs: a pharmacovigilance analysis based on the FDA adverse event reporting system database. [Journal Article]Front Immunol. 2026; 17:1947521.FI
- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings reveal a strong signal of haematological toxicity associated with antitumour agents, supporting enhanced routine monitoring to mitigate clinical risks. Nevertheless, confirmation through pharmacoepidemiological studies with rigorous causality assessment is required, owing to the inherent limitations of the FAERS spontaneous reporting system.

- Spending nights away from home and pain in people with spinal cord injury: evidence from a bidirectional longitudinal analysis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Pain and spending nights away from home were bidirectionally associated over time among individuals with SCI. These findings highlight the potential importance of leisure-oriented participation behaviors in SCI rehabilitation and support further research on health pathways linking leisure-oriented participation and pain outcomes.

- Gene set mediation analysis in high-dimensional epigenetic studies. [Journal Article]
- Mediation analysis has significantly enhanced the elucidation of underlying epigenetic mechanisms by identifying mediators that influence the effect of an exposure on an outcome. In epigenomics research, the exponential increase in the dimensionality of mediators necessitates the development of advanced high-dimensional mediation models. Here we introduce a novel Gene Set High-Dimensional Mediati…

- The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (CAA 2026) introduces the most significant federal restructuring of pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) compensation to date. Effective January 2028, the act restructures Medicare Part D by effectively eliminating spread pricing, mandating the full pass-through of manufacturer remuneration, restricting PBM revenue to bona fide service fees delinked from drug p…

- Should I Stay, or Should I Go? Provider Considerations for Leaving Medicaid Managed Care Organizations. [Journal Article]Am J Manag Care. 2026 Sep; 32(9):501-507.AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: The complexity of managing multiple MCOs is a key factor in provider decisions to exit managed care networks. Policy reforms to standardize operational processes, improve transparency in contracting, and align administrative demands with reimbursement structures are critical to sustaining provider participation and ensuring patient access to care.

- Real‑world pharmacovigilance of rituximab‑associated adverse reactions in children and adolescents: Disproportionality signal detection and time‑to‑onset pattern characterization using the FAERS database. [Journal Article]Hum Vaccin Immunother. 2026 Dec; 22(1):2731825.HV
- Rituximab is widely used for B‑cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases, but its pediatric safety profile requires systematic real‑world evaluation. This research mined safety signals of adverse events (AEs) linked to rituximab in pediatric patients using U.S. Food and Drug Administration Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) data from 2004 to 2025. A total of 2,231 pediatric AE reports involvi…

- 'So easy to destroy, so hard to build': understanding impacts of federal rule changes on the Title X program, 2018-2024. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: We found that while Title X is viewed by grantees as a vital component of the reproductive health safety net, Rule Changes significantly increase the burden (regardless of program participation) of service delivery. Importantly for policymakers, subsequent recovery after program restoration is nonlinear and highly dependent on grantee characteristics and the local environments in which they operate.
