- Integration of consensus WGCNA and differential expression analysis reveals stable heat shock protein networks in soybean adaptation to Western Canada. [Journal Article]Genome. 2026 Jan 01; 69:1-14.G
- The expansion of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) cultivation into Western Canada is constrained by distinct abiotic stressors, including shorter growing seasons and drought. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are critical regulators of stress adaptation; however, characterizing their expression in field conditions is often confounded by significant annual environmental variability. In this study, we int…

- Stem cells and nanomaterials for cardiac regeneration: integrating multi-omics for precision therapeutics. [Review]Can J Physiol Pharmacol. 2026 Jan 01; 104:1-14.CJ
- Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, with myocardial infarction (MI) resulting in irreversible loss of cardiomyocytes and progressive cardiac dysfunction. Clinical interventions primarily restore perfusion and alleviate symptoms yet fail to regenerate the damaged myocardium. Stem cell-based therapeutics have emerged as effective and promising regene…

- Concentration-QTc Analysis Supporting Thorough QT Study Waiver for Forvisirvat: Electrocardiogram Assay Sensitivity Demonstrated via Meal Effect. [Randomized Controlled Trial]J Clin Pharmacol. 2026 Oct; 66(10):e70312.JC
- Concentration-QTc analysis from Phase 1 studies is increasingly used to evaluate QTc prolongation risk as an alternative to thorough QT (TQT) studies. According to International Conference on Harmonization E14 documents, such analyses should include exposures at twice the highest clinically relevant exposure instead of a positive control to establish electrocardiogram (ECG) assay sensitivity; how…

- Three-dimensional biological morphologies encode functional and physiological state, yet their directional, orientational, and topological properties are rarely captured by morphometric tools in bioimage analysis. Minkowski tensors encode surface curvature and directionality for arbitrary topologies; their eigensystems directly quantify elongation axes and anisotropy. A C++ implementation, karamb…

- Adaptation of the Parents Taking Action Program for Diné (Navajo) Parents of Children with Autism. [Journal Article]Front Educ (Lausanne). 2023; 8.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: This case study demonstrates how an evidence-based, parent education and training program was adapted for Diné parents of children with autism. The adapted Diné PTA program is being piloted. We will continue to improve Diné PTA by using the pilot's results and community input to inform future adaptations.

- DiFVM: A Vectorized Graph-Based Finite Volume Solver for Differentiable CFD on Unstructured Meshes. [Journal Article]J Comput Phys. 2027 Jan 15; 569(Pt 1).JC
- Differentiable programming has emerged as an important tool for gradient-based inverse problems and end-to-end hybrid physics-machine learning in computational fluid dynamics. Existing differentiable CFD platforms predominantly rely on structured Cartesian grids, limiting their direct application to geometrically complex domains where body-conforming unstructured discretizations are essential. - Evaluation of the Analgesic Efficacy of Preemptive Dipyrone in the Postoperative Period of Adenotonsillectomy in Children: A Randomized Clinical Trial. [Journal Article]Int Arch Otorhinolaryngol. 2026 Jul; 30(3):1-8.IA
- CONCLUSIONS: A trend toward pain relief, earlier diet acceptance, and a lower need for opioids was observed in the group that received preemptive dipyrone. The results did not reach statistical significance, likely due to a type II error.

- Should the Traditional Algorithm for Syphilis Screening be Abandoned? Neurosyphilis Presenting as Limbic Encephalitis: A Prozone False-Negative RPR Missed by an RPR-Only Initial Screen. [Journal Article]Eur J Case Rep Intern Med. 2026; 13(10):007473.EJ
- CONCLUSIONS: When a sexually transmitted infection is being considered, obtain a careful, respectful sexual history and request non-treponemal and treponemal tests together; a rapid plasma reagin -only screen cannot reveal the non-treponemal/treponemal discordance that signals a prozone false negative. A treponemal-first (reverse-sequence) algorithm avoids this particular pitfall.A negative undiluted RPR does not exclude syphilis: the prozone phenomenon occurs even at low-to-moderate titres and in human immunodeficiency virus-negative patients, so serial dilution should be requested when clinical suspicion is high.Neurosyphilis is a treatable mimic of limbic encephalitis; outcome depends on prompt effective therapy, and including a treponemal-active agent (e.g. ceftriaxone) in empirical meningoencephalitis coverage may limit harm from diagnostic delay.

- Research on the impact of generative AI interaction modes on the improvement of school-age children's early reading ability and college students' auxiliary intervention. [Journal Article]Front Public Health. 2026; 14:1926167.FP
- CONCLUSIONS: The generative AI interaction mode paired with college student auxiliary support is associated with sustained improvement school-age children's core early reading ability via cumulative short-term follow-up effects. Meanwhile, this collaborative model enables effective management of digital environmental exposure risks and may reduce risks related to visual and psychological health among school-age children. The intergroup differences remained stable with reliable effect sizes. This intervention model can be may provide a reference for future implementation as a digital public health intervention targeting school-age children's early reading, and provides preliminary empirical evidence for the standardized application of AI-supported education for school-age children. This retrospective study only reflects the differences between groups of compound intervention programs in archived cases, and cannot establish strong causal inference.
