- Skin and Brain in Bipolar Disorder: A Review of Dermatologic-Psychotropic Drug Interactions. [Review]Prim Care Companion CNS Disord. 2026 Oct 08; 28(5).PC
- Importance: Dermatologic and psychotropic therapies intersect frequently in patients with bipolar disorder, in whom systemic dermatologic medications may affect mood stability and mood stabilizers or antipsychotics may produce clinically important cutaneous adverse reactions. Because several medications discussed in this review are also used for psychotic disorders, severe or treatment-resistant …

- Combined amivantamab, lazertinib, and bevacizumab in patients with EGFR-mutant advanced non-small-cell lung cancer with acquired resistance to a third-generation EGFR tyrosine-kinase inhibitor (ETOP 18-21 AMAZE-lung): a prospective, international, multicentre, single-arm, phase 2 trial. [Journal Article]Lancet Respir Med. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]LR
- CONCLUSIONS: Combined amivantamab, lazertinib, and bevacizumab showed durable anti-tumour activity, representing a promising chemotherapy-sparing alternative after progression on third-generation EGFR TKIs. Safety was consistent with known toxicity profiles.

- The hidden burden of topical corticosteroid misuse: a systematic review of dermatologic complications. [Review]Curr Med Res Opin. 2026 Oct 02; :1-11. [Online ahead of print]CM
- CONCLUSIONS: Topical corticosteroid misuse is an important public health concern, particularly where potent products are readily available without prescription. Reducing misuse requires prescription-based access to potent topical corticosteroids, pharmacist counselling at dispensing, clinician education on appropriate potency and duration, and targeted public education on cosmetic misuse and potential adverse effects.

- Phase II Study of Cisplatin/Gemcitabine Plus Necitumumab for Squamous NSCLC After ICI-Platinum Therapy (WJOG14120L). [Journal Article]
- Treatment options remain limited for unresectable or advanced lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSqCC) that progresses after immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-based therapy. Although combination therapy with cisplatin, gemcitabine, and necitumumab (CGN) represents a potential second-line regimen, no prospective data in a post-ICI setting have been reported. This open-label, multicenter single-arm Pha…

- Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of FOLFOXIRI Plus Cetuximab Versus FOLFOXIRI Plus Bevacizumab in Metastatic Colorectal Cancer: A GRADE-assessed Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: FOLFOXIRI-cetuximab did not improve PFS, OS, or response rates in patients with mCRC compared with the bevacizumab combination; however, it was associated with significantly higher rates of hypomagnesemia and acneiform rash.

- Osimertinib, a Trigger of Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus: Three-Patient Case Series and Literature Review. [Case Reports]Clin Cosmet Investig Dermatol. 2026; 19:616408.CC
- CONCLUSIONS: These three cases establish osimertinib-induced SCLE as a recognizable clinical entity. Early dermatologic referral with skin biopsy and direct immunofluorescence is essential for accurate diagnosis, enabling appropriate immunosuppressive management while preserving access to life-prolonging targeted therapy. Early recognition therefore allows appropriate dermatologic management while maintaining effective oncologic treatment.

- Tofacitinib in chronic non-bacterial osteitis: a potential therapeutic option for multifocal osteitis. [Case Reports]J Rheum Dis. 2026 Oct 01; 33(4):315-319.JR
- Chronic non-bacterial osteitis (CNO) is an autoinflammatory bone disorder with an evolving classification and limited treatment options. It encompasses conditions like SAPHO (Synovitis, Acne, Pustulosis, Hyperostosis, Osteitis) syndrome and chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis, which share overlapping clinical and radiological features. While nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) se…

- Eczema Molluscatum in a Patient With Atopic Dermatitis on Upadacitinib and Methotrexate. [Case Reports]
- Eczema molluscatum refers to widespread molluscum contagiosum (MC) infection occurring in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), a setting in which impaired skin barrier function and immune dysregulation both promote viral spread. We report the case of a 29-year-old man with longstanding, treatment-refractory AD who was well controlled on upadacitinib, a selective Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor, …

- Tofacitinib-Associated Acne in a Young Patient With Severe Atopic Dermatitis. [Case Reports]
- Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that may require systemic therapy in patients with moderate-to-severe or refractory disease. Tofacitinib, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor, has demonstrated efficacy in the treatment of severe inflammatory dermatoses, including refractory AD. However, its use may be associated with various adverse events, and acneiform eruptions have inc…

- Multiple Agminated Papules on the Face. [Journal Article]Int J Dermatol. 2026 Sep 25. [Online ahead of print]IJ
- A middle-aged man presented with asymptomatic multiple grouped papules present bilaterally symmetrically on the face. Histopathology revealed peri-follicular, predominantly B-cell lymphoid aggregates with germinal center formation and occasional tingible body macrophages. Immunohistochemistry for Bcl-2 was positive in the peripheral mantle zone while sparing the follicle center, suggesting a reac…

- Type II Minocycline-Induced Hyperpigmentation During Long-Term Management of an Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) Inhibitor-Associated Acneiform Eruption. [Case Reports]
- Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) inhibitors commonly cause papulopustular eruptions that may significantly impair quality of life and interfere with continuation of effective oncologic therapy. Oral tetracyclines remain the cornerstone of treatment because of their anti-inflammatory properties; however, prolonged therapy, particularly with minocycline, carries a risk of cumulative adverse …

- Cosmeticorexia in Adolescence: A Case Report and Psychodynamic Formulation. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: This case illustrates an impairing BDD-like presentation in which cosmetic behavior and skin injury reinforced one another. It does not validate cosmeticorexia as a distinct diagnosis or establish a psychodynamic mechanism. The findings support integrated dermatological and mental health assessment while avoiding pathologization of normative adolescent grooming.
