  • Late-season off-flavor impacts on consumer acceptance and perceived product value of maple syrup. [Journal Article]
Food Res Int. 2026 Mar 31; 228:118283.Stelick AN, Wightman AR, … Dando RFR
  • Maple Syrup is an important agroforestry product in New York State (U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Agricultural Statistics Service, 2017), produced from the sap of maple trees in late winter-early spring. Climate change has compressed the sap harvesting season due to increased average temperatures and more frequent extreme weather events, increasing tree stress and the potential …
  • Diagnostic Features and Prescription Rules of Influenza-Like Illnesses in Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Data Mining Approach. [Journal Article]
    J Multidiscip Healthc. 2025; 18:6653-6666.Liu X, Chang R, … Zhou LJM
  • CONCLUSIONS: This study systematically analyzed the diagnostic features and prescription patterns of ILI in TCM using data mining methods. The results identified Maxing Shigan Decoction as the core prescription, around which corresponding formulations and combinations were developed, quantitatively supporting classical prescription principles. Despite limitations in data volume, the findings demonstrate that integrating data-driven analysis with traditional knowledge can promote prescription standardization, enhance clinical decision-making, and contribute to the modernization of TCM within multidisciplinary healthcare contexts.
  • Modeling the Sensory Characteristics of Japanese Sake Using the Sake Metabolome Analysis Method. [Journal Article]
    Metabolites. 2025 Aug 20; 15(8).Kobayashi T, Komatsu-Hata Y, … Iwashita KM
  • Background/Objectives: The components of food and beverages are important elements that determine their palatability. Although the components of sake, a traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage, have been studied for many years, their correlation with sensory characteristics is unclear. Methods: We investigate the correlation with the sake metabolome analysis method developed by our group using ul…
  • Bis-Silylene-Supported Aluminium Atoms with Aluminylene and Alane Character. [Journal Article]
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2024 Oct 21; 63(43):e202410790.Saddington A, Dong S, … Driess MAC
  • The suitability of electron-rich bis-silylenes, specifically the neutral chelating [Si[II](Xant)Si[II]] ligand (Si[II]=PhC(N[t]Bu)2Si, Xant=9,9-dimethylxanthene) and the anionic [Si[II](NAcrid)Si[II])][-] pincer ligand (NAcrid=2,7,9,9-tetramethylacridane), has been successfully probed to stabilize monovalent bis-silylene-supported aluminium complexes (aluminylenes). At first, the unprecedented al…
  • Impact of climate change and anthropogenic activities on aquatic ecosystem - A review. [Review]
    Environ Res. 2023 Dec 01; 238(Pt 2):117233.A K P, M M, … Muniasamy SKER
  • All living things depend on their natural environment, either directly or indirectly, for their high quality of life, growth, nutrition, and development. Due to the fast emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs), the Earth's climate system is being negatively impacted by global warming. Stresses caused by climate change, such as rising and hotter seas, increased droughts and floods, and acrid waters, …
  • The macrophage polarization in inflammatory dermatosis and its potential drug candidates. [Review]
    Biomed Pharmacother. 2023 May; 161:114469.Sun Q, Hu S, … Gao JBP
  • Inflammatory dermatosis is characterized by persistent inflammatory infiltration and hard repair of diseased skin. As a member of the human innate immune cells, macrophages usually show different phenotypes in different diseases. The macrophage phenotype (M1/M2) imbalance caused by the increase of M1 macrophages or the decrease of M2 macrophages is common in inflammatory dermatosis. In recent yea…
