  • Modulatory Effects of Methadone on Brain Network Instability in Methamphetamine Use; A Cross-sectional Study. [Journal Article]
Arch Acad Emerg Med. 2026; 14(1):e41.Sheikhi Koohsar J, Masjoodi S, … Tavakoli MBAA
  • CONCLUSIONS: Methamphetamine use is associated with disrupted and unstable brain network dynamics that may underlie acute neurobehavioral disturbances seen in emergency settings. MMT was associated with partial stabilization of these alterations, suggesting a potential neurobiological benefit beyond opioid substitution. Persistent network abnormalities, however, indicate the need for adjunctive therapeutic strategies. Dynamic connectivity measures may offer a novel biomarker for risk stratification and management of substance-related emergencies.
  • A Wearable Device to Measure Bioimpedance and Electrodermal Activity. [Journal Article]
Sensors (Basel). 2026 Sep 19; 26(18).de León JP, Beltrán JR, Asiain DS
  • Continuous non-invasive health monitoring requires wearable devices capable of capturing synchronized, multi-parametric physiological data without compromising user comfort or signal integrity. However, existing platforms often suffer from insufficient accuracy in complex modalities such bioimpedance. To address these limitations, this paper introduces the Multi-sensor Wearable Wristband Version …
  • Effect of Low-Load Long-Duration Stretch on Range of Motion in Post-Operative Knee Conditions. [Journal Article]
Cureus. 2026 Aug; 18(8):e115430.Pawar AV, Yadav TC
  • Background Post-operative knee stiffness is a common complication following surgical fixation of fractures around the knee joint, leading to reduced range of motion, pain, and functional limitations. Early physiotherapy intervention is essential to restore mobility and improve function. Low-load long-duration stretch (LLLDS) is a prolonged stretching technique that enhances soft tissue extensibil…
  • On-Limb Orbiting Robot: Proprioceptive Diameter Estimation and Orthogonal Grip-Orbit Control. [Journal Article]
    Biomimetics (Basel). 2026 Sep 05; 11(9).Tobar-Subía-Contento LM, Cabrera JA, … Gómez-de-Gabriel JMB
  • On-body robots that travel around a human limb must keep a firm enough grip to avoid slipping or detaching, while never pressing hard enough to hurt-a balance that is hardest to strike precisely when the robot is orbiting the limb and gravity continually redistributes the contact loads. This paper presents an open, non-anthropomorphic robot that wraps around a compliant cylindrical surface with a…
