- Voice Outcomes Following Behavioral Voice Therapy in Adults With Sulcus Vocalis: A Retrospective Controlled Study. [Journal Article]J Voice. 2026 Oct 14. [Online ahead of print]JV
- CONCLUSIONS: Compared with vocal hygiene education with home implementation, the additional voice therapy program was associated with greater improvements in perceptual voice quality, sustained phonatory capacity, selected acoustic measures, voice-related handicap, and vocal fatigue. These findings suggest a potential benefit of behavioral voice therapy for adults with sulcus vocalis.

- Dr Reddit? The quality and accuracy of information about IVF add-ons on Reddit. [Journal Article]Health Promot Int. 2026 Sep 01; 41(5).HP
- IVF add-ons are optional tests, treatments or procedures offered in addition to standard IVF, often at additional cost and with uncertain evidence of benefit. In a commercialized fertility sector, patients must make complex reproductive decisions while navigating variable clinical information, online advice and peer-to-peer narratives. This study examined Reddit as a digital health environment sh…

- Associations Between Resting-State EEG Delta-band Activity at Selected Parietal Electrodes and Cognitive Changes Following Transcutaneous Auricular Vagus Nerve Stimulation in Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment: An Exploratory Analysis. [Journal Article]Curr Neuropharmacol. 2026 Oct 12. [Online ahead of print]CN
- CONCLUSIONS: Parietal delta-band power may represent a candidate electrophysiological marker of cognitive change following taVNS in MCI. These exploratory findings support further validation of predefined EEG biomarkers in larger, prospectively powered studies.

- Advances in the Antidepressant Effects of Electroacupuncture Through Regulation of Microglia-Mediated BDNF Signaling and Hippocampal Neurogenesis. [Review]Neuropsychiatr Dis Treat. 2026; 22:636227.ND
- CONCLUSIONS: Electroacupuncture may improve depression through coordinated regulation of microglia-mediated neuroinflammation and BDNF-related neuroplasticity. This mechanism provides a scientific basis for further mechanistic research and clinical application of acupuncture in depression.

- Modulating inflammatory cytokines through acupuncture: Evidence from a systematic review. [Review]J Diabetes Metab Disord. 2026 Dec; 25(2):287.JD
- Evidence shows the positive effects of acupuncture on the modulation of cytokines. However, findings are conflicting. The present systematic review aimed to clarify the effects of acupuncture on pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in adults. Five databases, including Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Cochrane Library, were searched without language restrictions until July 1, 2024. Clin…

- Efficacy and specific toxicity profiles of GPRC5D- versus BCMA-targeted bispecific antibodies in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma: a meta-analysis of clinical trials and real-world studies. [Systematic Review]Front Immunol. 2026; 17:1937154.FI
- CONCLUSIONS: Bispecific antibodies demonstrate clear antimyeloma activity in RRMM. BCMA×CD3-directed therapy is mainly related to infection and hematological toxicity, whereas GPRC5D×CD3-directed therapy is distinguished by epithelium-related toxicity, although severe events are rare.

- Dynamic EEG network responses to acupuncture stimulation in patients with stroke: a neurophysiological study. [Journal Article]Front Neurosci. 2026; 20:1946735.FN
- CONCLUSIONS: Acupuncture was associated with short-term, frequency-dependent changes in spontaneous EEG activity and functional connectivity in patients with stroke. The observed changes were mainly reflected in spectral power and whole-brain average wPLI, while changes in overall network topology were not statistically supported. These findings provide preliminary neurophysiological evidence for the brain response to acupuncture stimulation.

- Multi-region social-emotional network underlying the effects of spine pinching therapy on empathy-like behavior in a rat model of autism spectrum disorder. [Journal Article]Front Neurosci. 2026; 20:1948910.FN
- CONCLUSIONS: Spine pinching effectively improves core ASD-like behavioral deficits in ASD rats, potentially through coordinated regulation of the multi-regional social-emotional network.

- Brain functional mechanisms of acupuncture treatment for early-stage non-tremor Parkinson's disease: a resting-state fMRI study. [Journal Article]Front Neurol. 2026; 17:1924955.FN
- CONCLUSIONS: Acupuncture treatment was associated with improvements in motor function, walking speed, and cognition in early-stage non-tremor PD, with potential mechanisms involving downregulated precuneus DC/FC and enhanced local activity. Furthermore, the change in right precuneus DC, which correlated significantly with both motor and cognitive improvements, may serve as a potential neuroimaging biomarker for treatment-induced clinical recovery.

- Comparative effectiveness of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation for post-stroke hemiplegia: a systematic review and network meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]Front Neurol. 2026; 17:1878287.FN
- CONCLUSIONS: Current evidence indicates that combining different acupuncture methods yields varying therapeutic effects. Regarding the improvement of FMA scores, WNM + RT may be considered the preferred clinical regimen due to the limited evidence supporting FACU + RT (based on a single study). Furthermore, SA + RT proves most effective for improving BI scores and reducing MAS, while FACU + RT exhibits potential benefits for MBI scores. However, as the number of studies reporting MAS data is relatively small (5 cases), the robustness of this result still needs to be further confirmed in future research.

- Acupuncture for older adults with dementia in residential care homes: an assessor-blinded, randomised controlled trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]Age Ageing. 2026 Aug 03; 55(10).AA
- CONCLUSIONS: While no significant effect in cognitive function was observed, acupuncture was associated with an improvement in functional independence, and the treatment effect on cognition might differ across dementia severity strata. This warrants further validation of the exploratory results, identifying a subpopulation of older adults with dementia who could gain more benefits from acupuncture in improving cognitive function.

- The pathological mechanisms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) are complex, and current intervention strategies are difficult to control the overall progression of the disease. Guided by the treatment principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment, TCM treats COPD based on the core pathogenesis of deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality, showing the unique advantages of…

- Toxic and adverse reactions associated with molecularly targeted anti-tumor drugs are highly prevalent and seriously affect the patients' quality of life. Drawing upon TCM meridian-collateral theory, this paper elucidated the essentials of TCM pathogenesis of toxic and adverse reactions associated with molecularly targeted anti-tumor drugs. It postulated a core pathological theory defined as " dr…
