  • CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that increased PTX3 levels may indicate an active inflammatory response or tissue stress linked to thyroid nodular disease. Nevertheless, its specificity for distinguishing benign from malignant lesions has yet to be determined. Its strong local expression in thyroiditis and consistently low expression in most carcinomas further support the concept that the long pentraxin PTX3 plays an important role in innate immune activation and inflammation-driven thyroid tissue remodeling. Additional studies are needed to better define its potential prognostic value in thyroid carcinoma.

  • CONCLUSIONS: Current evidence does not support inflammation as a primary driver of ET and instead indicates that inflammatory processes may act as context-dependent modulators within a multifactorial disease framework. Further well-designed longitudinal and multimodal studies are required to clarify the causal role of inflammation and its relationship to neurodegenerative mechanisms in ET.

  • CONCLUSIONS: Nplate is a potent mitigator of H-ARS and a stimulator of multi-lineage haematopoietic and tissue regeneration. However, its efficacy in improving survival is limited in RCI, potentially due to exacerbated systemic physiological stress. These results suggest that while Nplate promotes haematopoietic recovery, managing RCI may require a multi-modal approach to address the unique complexities of combined injury, including gastrointestinal (GI)-ARS, systemic inflammation and endothelial dysfunction.

  • CONCLUSIONS: This study demonstrates that patients with atherosclerotic heart disease tend to have more pro-inflammatory dietary habits, which are significantly correlated with energy intake and various macronutrient and micronutrient levels. Although there is no direct association between DII and AIP or key biochemical markers, continued pro-inflammatory dietary habits in patients may increase inflammation, potentially affecting the development and progression of atherosclerosis. Accordingly, reducing the inflammatory load of the diet may be a beneficial strategy for preventing and managing atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular diseases.

  • CONCLUSIONS: Burn injury profoundly alters EV cargo across general, immune, and neuronal types, reflecting proinflammatory and neuroimmune-associated signaling. This coordinated EV remodeling may reflect the hyperinflammatory responses, altered healing, and downstream biological pathway alterations. EV-based biomarkers may enable improved diagnostic and therapeutic strategies to mitigate dysregulated immune and healing responses in burn patients.
