  • TGF-β1 Induced Methylation to Regulate SOCS3 Expression in Abnormal Activation of Vocal Fold Fibroblasts. [Journal Article]
World J Otorhinolaryngol Head Neck Surg. 2026 Oct 11. [Online ahead of print]Wang HZ, Zhao AQ, … Xu WWJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: TGF-β1 is proposed to promote abnormal activation of VFFs, which may be associated with DNA methylation-mediated regulation of SOCS3. Specifically, TGF-β1 may downregulate SOCS3 expression via DNMT1-mediated promoter DNA methylation, and this process is speculated to participate in abnormal VFFs activation by relieving the inhibitory effect of SOCS3 on the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway.
  • Eculizumab in rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis: a case-series report. [Case Reports]
    Front Immunol. 2026; 17:1919699.Li X, Zhang Y, Ke BFI
  • CONCLUSIONS: In this descriptive case series, we observed trends toward improved renal function and hematuria at 3 months in patients with severe RPGN who received eculizumab in addition to standard immunosuppression, with earlier initiation and milder baseline renal impairment appearing to correlate with more favorable outcomes. Nevertheless, the lack of a control group and the marked interpatient variability in baseline characteristics and concomitant therapies preclude any conclusion regarding a causal effect of eculizumab. Instead, these data serve as real-world observations that can generate hypotheses for future studies. Definitive evidence on the efficacy and safety of eculizumab in RPGN must await larger, prospective, controlled investigations.
  • Rare missense variants identified by whole-genome sequencing in men with oligoasthenoteratozoospermia: An experimental study. [Journal Article]
    Int J Reprod Biomed. 2026 Aug; 24(8):663-674.Sadeghzadeh S, Malcher A, … Kurpisz MIJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: Our findings demonstrate the potential utility of WGS in identifying rare candidate variants potentially associated with OAT. The identified DNAH9 and CFAP45 variants, together with additional candidate variants, may contribute to the impaired sperm function observed in this man. This study also highlights the value of genome-wide analyses in improving our understanding of male infertility, particularly in consanguineous populations, and provides a foundation for future functional studies and personalized diagnostic approaches.
