  • Coupled capillary-cavitation model for secondary droplet breakup in high-intensity ultrasonic field. [Journal Article]
    Ultrason Sonochem. 2026 Oct 01; 134:108092. [Online ahead of print]Kudryashova O, Shalunov A, … Titova NUS
  • A coupled physics-based model is developed to describe secondary breakup of levitating droplets in a high-intensity ultrasonic standing wave field. The model uniquely integrates acoustic radiation pressure-induced droplet deformation, parametric excitation of capillary waves, radial oscillations and collective interaction of cavitation bubbles, and energy accumulation in the system. The methodolo…
  • Urinary Biomarkers in Interstitial Cystitis and Bladder Pain Syndrome: A Narrative Review of Differential Diagnosis and Treatment Monitoring. [Review]
Int Urogynecol J. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]Moga M, Buhas BA, … Bulboacă AEIU
  • CONCLUSIONS: Current urinary biomarkers can assist, but not replace, standard clinical assessment and selective cystoscopy. At present, their clearest near-term roles are in research and selected specialist settings, including adjunctive differentiation of IC/BPS from overactive bladder or other lower urinary tract dysfunctions, pre-cystoscopic enrichment for Hunner-lesion disease, and pharmacodynamic monitoring in trials. Routine stand-alone implementation is not yet justified because thresholds, pre-analytics, assay platforms, and external validation remain inconsistent, although external validation of combined biomarker-plus-clinical models has now begun.
  • CMOS multifunctional programmable metachip for terahertz-integrated sensing and communication. [Journal Article]
    Sci Adv. 2026 Oct 02; 12(40):eaeb5047.Shen Z, Guo K, … Zhao DSA
  • Metachips are formed by incorporating periodically arranged meta-atoms with on-chip circuits, enabling electromagnetic wave manipulation at the single-chip-tile level and holding great promise for terahertz applications. In this work, we present a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-based terahertz-programmable metachip and demonstrate its proof of concept for terahertz-integrated sens…

  • Depressive and anxiety symptoms among college students in Anhui Province, China: three repeated cross-sectional surveys. [Journal Article]
    Front Public Health. 2026; 14:1917300.Gao X, Mu S, … Zhang YFP
  • CONCLUSIONS: Mild depressive and anxiety symptoms were highly prevalent in this college cohort, while moderate-to-severe symptoms affected a clinically significant minority. The temporal peak in 2024 and the persistent elevation of self-harm ideation in 2025, underscore the necessity of a tiered campus mental health strategy and the critical importance of independent, continuous suicide risk surveillance. The harmonized dataset provides a robust foundation for future longitudinal risk-factor modeling and evidence-based intervention planning.
  • [Microstructural characteristics of sleep electroencephalogram in obstructive sleep apnea]. [Journal Article]
Zhonghua Er Bi Yan Hou Tou Jing Wai Ke Za Zhi. 2026 Sep 07; 61(9):992-1001.Zhou EH, Huang WJ, … Yi HLZE
  • Objective: To analyze the characteristics of electroencephalogram (EEG) power spectral density (PSD), slow wave oscillation, and sleep spindles across different sleep stages, brain regions, and levels of severity in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Methods: This case-control study collected data from 1 821 suspected OSA patients, comprising 1 422 males and 399 females, with a median a…
  • Distinct EEG functional network alterations in Parkinson's disease and multiple system atrophy. [Journal Article]
    Neuroimage Clin. 2026 Sep 27; 52:104072. [Online ahead of print]Chen D, Tang H, … Wei LNC
  • Parkinson's disease (PD) and multiple system atrophy (MSA) are alpha-synuclein-related neurodegenerative disorders with overlapping motor and non-motor symptoms but distinct pathology, clinical management, and prognosis. Early differential diagnosis, particularly between PD and the parkinsonian subtype of MSA (MSA-P), remains a major clinical challenge. Yet, how their distinct underlying neurodeg…
