- Source fingerprints, process fate, and risk redistribution of microplastics in a full-scale wastewater treatment plant receiving e-waste dismantling wastewater. [Journal Article]Water Res. 2026 Jul 16; 305:126514. [Online ahead of print]WR
- Microplastics (MPs) from industrial activities remain far less understood than those from municipal sources, particularly in wastewater systems serving e-waste dismantling. Here, a full-scale wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) dedicated to e-waste dismantling wastewater in Guiyu, China, was investigated through four seasonal sampling campaigns covering its two parallel treatment trains, namely an …

- Solvent-Guided Chiral Assemblies and Chemical Doping of OEG-Functionalized Conjugated Polymers. [Journal Article]Adv Mater. 2026 Jul 18; :e74130. [Online ahead of print]AM
- Chiral assembly of achiral conjugated polymers has emerged as a new avenue to promote (opto)electronic properties and control the angular momentum of charge carriers and photons. Solvent plays a key role in chiral emergence through the lyotropic liquid crystal (LLC) assembly pathway, yet rules underpinning solvent effect remain elusive. Here, we establish a unifying framework linking solvent qual…

- Topological Jackiw-Rebbi states in photonic Van der Waals heterostructures. [Journal Article]Light Sci Appl. 2026 Jul 19; 15(1).LS
- Topological phenomena, first studied in solid state physics, have seen increased interest for applications in nanophotonics owing to highly controllable light confinement with inherent robustness to defects. Photonic crystals can be designed to host topologically protected interface states for directional light transport, localization and robust lasing via tuning of the bulk topological invariant…

- Sex differences in dentoskeletal and soft tissue profile changes: A 50-year longitudinal study. [Journal Article]Am J Orthod Dentofacial Orthop. 2026 Jul 17. [Online ahead of print]AJ
- CONCLUSIONS: Sex-specific growth patterns are most pronounced during adolescence and young adulthood but diminish after the third decade. Soft tissue profile changes tend to occur earlier in females. The age-related reduction in incisor and lip prominence, particularly among females, should be taken into consideration when planning orthodontic, prosthodontic, and orthognathic treatments.

- A High-Resolution Self-Powered Angular Displacement Sensor Based on Triboelectric Nanogenerator With Time-Grating. [Journal Article]Adv Sci (Weinh). 2026 Jul 17; :e76634. [Online ahead of print]AS
- In modern manufacturing and engineering, angular displacement sensors are crucial for motion control and feedback systems in Electromechanical equipment. Traditional sensors like resolvers, capacitive, and photoelectric encoders, though high in precision and resolution, face limitations in size, weight, and power supply. In this paper, we report a self-powered angular displacement sensor (SPADS) …

- Experimental and numerical investigation on micro-motion characteristics of lightweight spacecraft. [Journal Article]PLoS One. 2026; 21(7):e0353236.Plos
- Accurate prediction of micro-motion characteristics is essential to the success of space mission operations. In this paper, the lightweight spacecraft is selected as the research object. Firstly, the micro-motion characteristic test device is designed to carry out the micro-motion experiment, and the micro-motion characteristic of the test device is numerically simulated to verify the accuracy of…

- Functional morphology of the iliopsoas notch: limited association with acetabular and coxal dimensions. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The iliopsoas notch demonstrates limited association with global acetabular and pelvic dimensions, suggesting greater influence from localized anatomical and biomechanical factors than from overall pelvic scaling. These findings have implications for understanding iliopsoas-related pathologies and optimizing acetabular component positioning in total hip arthroplasty.

- Longitudinal alterations in static and dynamic functional connectivity in basal ganglia ischaemic stroke: implications for neurological recovery. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This exploratory study provides preliminary insights into stage-specific alterations in sFC and dFC during BGIS recovery. Motor recovery might be related to alterations in sFC, whereas cognitive-emotional outcomes may correlate with temporal variations in dFC. These dissociations highlight the pivotal role of neural network flexibility and may provide preliminary clues to unpack the complex manifestations of neurological recovery after BGIS.

- Femoral extra-physeal ACL reconstruction in skeletally immature patients shows a low rate of clinically relevant growth disturbances: A systematic review. [Review]J Exp Orthop. 2026 Jul; 13(3):e70849.JE
- CONCLUSIONS: Paediatric ACL reconstruction using femoral extra-physeal techniques was associated with a low rate of clinically relevant growth disturbances. Most deformities were mild, and no corrective procedure was required. The graft failure rate was also low. These findings should be interpreted with caution given the heterogeneity of the included studies.

- Buckling-Induced Angular-Switchable Diffraction Images on Polyurethane Film for Optical Encryption and Anti-Counterfeiting. [Journal Article]Adv Mater. 2026 Jul 17; :e74145. [Online ahead of print]AM
- Diffractive security images, constructed with micro-nano structures, are widely used in anti-counterfeiting due to their inherent high spatial frequency resolution and dynamic color variation. However, traditional diffraction anti-counterfeiting labels (DALs), typically based on acrylic ester materials, are susceptible to counterfeiting due to their simple encryption structures and the limited in…

- The non-Boltzmann population of the triplet sublevels in Pt(II)-Schiff base complexes, and other phosphorescent transition metal complexes, exhibits large zero-field splitting (ZFS, ∼25 cm[-1]), preventing a time-resolved electron paramagnetic resonance (TREPR) study.
