- Interdisciplinary Management of Maxillary Midline Diastema With a Papillary Penetrating Labial Frenum Using Orthodontic Therapy and Diode Laser-Assisted Frenectomy: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
- Maxillary midline diastema is a common esthetic concern with a multifactorial etiology that includes aberrant maxillary labial frenum attachment. A papillary penetrating labial frenum may contribute to the persistence of a maxillary midline diastema and may warrant consideration during treatment planning. We report a 19-year-old woman with a maxillary midline diastema associated with a papillary …

- Successful Re-Closure with Adjunctive Retention Sutures for Fascial Dehiscence after Mesh-Mediated Fascial Traction in Open Abdomen Management for Perforated Sigmoid Diverticulitis: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: Fascial dehiscence may occur even after staged closure with MMFT and NPWT in high-risk patients. Adjunctive retention sutures may be a salvage option for re-closure when conventional fascial re-suturing alone is considered insufficient.

- Robotic-assisted simulation of eyelid laceration repair: A proof-of-concept study. [Journal Article]Indian J Ophthalmol. 2026 Oct 01; 74(Suppl 3):S428-S432.IJ
- CONCLUSIONS: This proof-of-concept study demonstrates the technical feasibility and safety of robotic-assisted eyelid laceration repair in a simulated environment. With prior simulator-based robotic training, ophthalmologists may effectively perform delicate periocular suturing using the Da Vinci system. These findings support further preclinical and translational studies exploring the role of robotic platforms in oculoplastic and ophthalmic trauma surgery.

- Laparoscopic distal gastrectomy with simultaneous hiatal repair for gastric cancer associated with a paraesophageal hernia containing the small intestine: a case report. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: Laparoscopic distal gastrectomy with simultaneous hiatal repair may be feasible in patients with gastric cancer and concomitant type IV PEH. Careful reconstruction, selection, and perioperative management of frailty-related complications are essential in older patients.

- Silver Nanozeolite-Loaded Skin Sealants Combat Surgical Site Infection in Diabetic and Obese Mice. [Journal Article]Small. 2026 Sep 03; :e75380. [Online ahead of print]S
- Diabetic patients are highly susceptible to surgical site infections, with Staphylococcus aureus being a major nosocomial causative agent. Dehiscence, inflammation, and scarring can complicate outcomes with conventional wound approximation and closure devices. To overcome these challenges, we leveraged the antibacterial properties of silver ion-exchanged nanostructured zeolites (AgNZeo) embedded …

- Annular Repair Using an All-Suture Anchor Under Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy: Technical Note and Case Series. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The described UBE all-suture anchor technique enables direct bone-to-annulus fixation and safe closure of moderate (5-6 mm) full-thickness annular defects through standard endoscopic portals. Early results indicate technical feasibility, safety, and promising short-term clinical outcomes. Further biomechanical validation and longer-term, larger-cohort studies are required to determine its effectiveness in reducing recurrent LDH.

- Introduction of posterior reconstruction technique during robotic assisted radical prostatectomy at a tertiary center: results on the self-perception of anastomotic quality and ease of execution. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In our experience, the introduction of PR led to an improved surgeon's confidence toward vesico-urethral anastomosis; when assessed through cystogram, PR significantly decreases the rate of urinary extra-vasation. Incorporating PR into standard RARP protocols may enhance perioperative outcomes and reduce the need for postoperative imaging. Further prospective, multi-center studies are warranted to confirm reproducibility.

- Bronchoscopy-Guided Intratracheal Suture Repair of Recurrent Tracheoesophageal Fistula in an Adolescent. [Case Reports]
- Introduction: Managing recurrent congenital tracheoesophageal fistula (rTEF) is clinically challenging. Repeat thoracotomy is technically demanding due to dense adhesions and carries high morbidity, whereas outcomes of conventional endoscopic interventions vary, and sustained closure may be difficult to achieve in complex recurrent fistulas. We report the use of bronchoscopy-guided intratracheal …

- Methodological determinants and prevalence of elevated intracranial pressure in isolated single-suture craniosynostosis: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Elevated ICP is reported in a substantial proportion of children with isolated SSC, although prevalence estimates vary considerably based on diagnostic methodology and timing of assessment. Across included studies, pooled estimates ranged between 30-50%. Noninvasive screening, such as OCT, may aid adequate detection in at-risk patients. Standardized ICP thresholds and longitudinal neurocognitive studies are needed to guide management and optimize outcomes.

- Assessing the Fidelity, Usability, and Educational Utility of a Comprehensive Training System for Ureteral Trauma Repair Surgery. [Journal Article]Mil Med. 2026 Aug 01; 191(Supplement_1):28-35.MM
- CONCLUSIONS: The training system demonstrated substantial educational utility and fidelity, addressing an unmet need to obtain and maintain surgical skills for a rare but morbid surgical scenario. Integration of this system in training settings may enhance skill retention for the surgical management of ureteral trauma. These findings have direct implications for military surgery, where a reliable means of sustaining proficiency in ureteral trauma repair is critical to operational readiness.
