  • Can Augmented Reality Be Helpful in Pelvic Bone Cancer Surgery? An In Vitro Study. [Journal Article]
Clin Orthop Relat Res. 2018 Sep; 476(9):1719-1725.Cho HS, Park MS, … Hong JCO
  • CONCLUSIONS: In this in vitro simulated tumor model, we demonstrated that AR assistance could help to achieve the planned margin. Our model was designed as a proof of concept; although our findings do not justify a clinical trial in humans, they do support continued investigation of this system in a live animal model, which will be our next experiment.
  • Evaluation of differential renal function and renographic patterns in patients with dietl crisis. [Journal Article]
    J Urol. 2013 Feb; 189(2):684-9.Sparks S, Viteri B, … Majd MJU
  • CONCLUSIONS: Interpretation of diuretic renography requires the assimilation of multiple parameters since patients with Dietl crisis can exhibit variability in renographic patterns due to the intermittent nature of ureteropelvic junction obstruction. Cortical retention represents a specific and pathognomic finding of acute ureteropelvic junction obstruction. With appropriate evaluation of these parameters, obstruction can be reliably diagnosed and appropriate surgical candidates chosen.
  • Ultrasound evaluation of dynamic responses of female pelvic floor muscles. [Journal Article]
    Ultrasound Med Biol. 2007 Mar; 33(3):342-52.Peng Q, Jones R, … Constantinou CEUM
  • Ultrasound imaging of the pelvic floor carries diagnostically important information about the dynamic response of the pelvic floor muscles (PFM) to potentially incontinence-producing stress, which cannot be readily captured and assimilated by the observer during the scanning process. We presented an approach based on motion tracking quantitatively to analyze the dynamic parameters of PFM on the a…
  • [Meaning of assimilation pelvis according to Kirchhoff in modern obstetrics]. [Journal Article]
    Z Geburtshilfe Neonatol. 1997; 201(6):247-52.Krauss T, Osmers R, … Kuhn WZG
  • CONCLUSIONS: Due to its frequency in our days the assimilation pelvis plays a major obstetrical role. This is true in particular when there is a pathological course of labour. From this results that pelvic parameters other than the conjugata vera will be of diagnostic importance, especially those parameters which are able to characterise the assimilation pelvis with its high promontory, the steepness of the pelvic inlet, the lengthening of the birth canal and the decrease of the hollow of the sacrum. We take the view that the angle of the pelvic inlet, the pelvic inclination and the direct length of the pelvis are of outstanding importance.
  • [Status of radiologic pelvimetry]. [Journal Article]
Geburtshilfe Frauenheilkd. 1987 Jul; 47(7):483-6.Alder C, Aebi S, Bernhard MGF
  • The diagnostic value of radiological pelvimetry is subject to controversial interpretation. This examination is being conducted at the Department of Gynaecology in Aarau (Frauenklinik Aarau) mainly in pregnant women in pelvic presentation or during the puerperium after Caesarean section. Based on 164 radiological pelvimetric measurements in breech presentation and 112 X-ray films after Caesarean …
  • [The importance of the long pelvis in clinical practice and medical education (author's transl)]. [Journal Article]
Geburtshilfe Frauenheilkd. 1981 Feb; 41(2):87-90.Martius G, Loock WGF
  • The importance of the long pelvis with lumbo-sacral assimilation in obstetrics is evaluated. 111 x-rays of the pelvis in cases with abnormal deliveries were evaluated and compared to the clinical data. The incidence of the long pelvis was not increased in the total group, nor in the 100 cases with abnormal deliveries. A long pelvis was present in 30.2% of the 43 breech presentations. In 4 cases w…
  • The impact of microsurgery in gynecology. [Review]
Clin Obstet Gynecol. 1980 Dec; 23(4):1301-10.Gomel VCO
  • Reconstructive microsurgery has been associated with significantly improved results in infertility. These techniques have made the gynecologist much more conscious of peritoneal trauma and of postoperative adhesions. It has enabled the appreciation of normal and pathologic fine morphologic details. The assimilation of microsurgical principles into gynecology will provide its major benefit in term…
