- CmHSFA3-CmBRC1a-CmHB40 module inhibits axillary bud development in response to high temperature. [Journal Article]Plant Physiol. 2026 Sep 23. [Online ahead of print]PP
- Branching is a key determinant of plant architecture, directly influencing growth, yield, and resource allocation. High temperature (HT) inhibits plant growth and development, often leading to alterations in plant architecture. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying temperature-induced inhibition of branching remain elusive. Here, we discovered that CmBRC1a is strongly induced by HT and inh…

- Endoscopic sympathectomy impairs forearm cutaneous vascular conductance and sweating responses during passive whole body heat stress. [Journal Article]
- Hyperhidrosis is characterized by excessive sweating, typically in the palmar and axillary regions. Individuals with severe cases of hyperhidrosis can be treated surgically via endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy to disrupt the neural connection between the spinal cord and the affected regions, thereby attenuating sweating in the hyperhidrotic regions. However, the effects of this procedure on skin…

- Rapid diagnosis of fever etiology using wearable temperature monitoring and machine learning. [Journal Article]medRxiv. 2026 Jul 28.M
- CONCLUSIONS: Our study provides a demonstration that continuous temperature data collected from patients outfitted with wearable sensors can be leveraged not only for early fever detection but also for machine learning-based diagnosis of fever etiology. These findings suggest that dynamic temperature patterns contain clinically meaningful physiologic information that with further studies could support real-time diagnostic decision-making and guide safe de-escalation of empiric antibiotics during febrile neutropenia in patients undergoing intensive cancer therapy.
