  • Large vessel occlusion stroke in venom-induced consumption coagulopathy after viper envenomation. [Case Reports]
    BMJ Case Rep. 2026 Sep 21; 19(9).Aryan A, Goyal D, … Kumar MBC
  • Snakebites frequently cause venom-induced consumption coagulopathy (VICC). While bleeding is common, ischaemic stroke from large-vessel occlusion (LVO) is rare. The coexistence of LVO and active VICC creates a therapeutic paradox, as reperfusion therapies risk catastrophic haemorrhage. We report a woman in her mid-60s who developed left-sided hemiplegia 6 hours after a suspected viper bite. Inves…
  • Non-extraction management of borderline class III malocclusion using miniscrew-assisted molar distalisation. [Case Reports]
    BMJ Case Rep. 2026 Sep 18; 19(9).Kaushik K, Singla A, … Puri ABC
  • Skeletal Class III malocclusion, or mesiocclusion, is characterised by maxillary deficiency, mandibular excess or both, resulting in a reversed or edge-to-edge incisor relationship. It often reflects underlying skeletal discrepancies in the maxillary or dentoalveolar components and may be worsened by functional mandibular shifts. Treatment options depend on severity and growth status, ranging fro…
  • Development of attenuated and inactivated Dengue strains using advanced gene editing tools. [Review]
    Mol Biol Rep. 2026 Jul 10; 53(1).Thevendran R, Maheswaran S, Lee SYMB
  • Dengue fever remains a persistent viral threat, affecting millions of families every year, turning a simple mosquito bite into a potentially life-threatening emergency. This disease remains a constant burden on our global healthcare system, demanding innovative solutions to protect worldwide communities. While many researchers discuss general treatments, preventions and modern medical interventio…
  • Occlusal byte and Mézières postural therapy improve pain and performance in elite rhythmic gymnasts with low back pain. [Journal Article]
Complement Ther Med. 2026 Sep; 100:103406.Qorri E, Todri J, Lena OCT
  • CONCLUSIONS: Six months of Mézières-based postural therapy were associated with significant improvements in pain, function, flexibility, and quality of life in rhythmic gymnasts with low back pain. However, in the absence of a non-intervention control group, these improvements may be partially influenced by non-specific or placebo effects. The addition of an occlusal bite device did not produce consistent additional benefits across outcomes. Further controlled studies are needed to determine the specific efficacy of these interventions.
