- Pancytopenia and Hypocalcemia: An Unexpected Cause. [Case Reports]Cureus. 2026 Sep; 18(9):e116031.C
- Pancytopenia refers to the simultaneous reduction of all peripheral blood cell lines and is a hematologic finding often indicative of severe and potentially life-threatening disease. Although usually not associated, hypocalcemia and pancytopenia may co-occur, suggesting a common etiology. We report a case of a caucasian woman in her late 50s with asthenia, paraesthesia and nausea. Laboratory resu…

- A pre-market, open-label, single-arm study to evaluate b.Bone for posterolateral fusion treatment of degenerative thoracolumbar, lumbar or lumbosacral spinal disease (b.Spine clinical trial). [Journal Article]Front Bioeng Biotechnol. 2026; 14:1851820.FB
- CONCLUSIONS: The results of this feasibility study support the non-inferiority of b.Bone as bone graft extender with respect to other synthetic ceramic biomaterials and reinforce the device's benefit-risk profile in thoracolumbar instrumented fusion.

- Quantitative assessment of active charcot neuro-osteoarthropathy in diabetes using 18F-sodium fluoride PET/CT. [Journal Article]Front Endocrinol (Lausanne). 2026; 17:1930281.FE
- CONCLUSIONS: 18F-NaF PET/CT shows promise as a quantitative marker of bone remodelling in active CNO in patients with diabetes. These findings are exploratory and require external validation in large cohorts.

- Balanced double aortic arch with late-onset symptoms detected on 18F-FDG PET/CT in an octogenarian with advanced prostate cancer: A case report. [Case Reports]Medicine (Baltimore). 2026 Oct 09; 105(41):e51051.M
- CONCLUSIONS: Balanced-type DAA may be incidentally detected on oncologic 18F-FDG PET/CT. Recognition of a tubular mediastinal structure continuous with the aortic system and showing blood-pool-level FDG uptake may help avoid misinterpretation as malignant mediastinal disease.

- Near-complete Response of Bilateral Adrenal Metastases to 177Lu-PSMA Therapy in Castration-resistant Prostate Cancer on Posttherapeutic SPECT-CT Follow Up. [Case Reports]Clin Nucl Med. 2026 Nov 01; 51(11):e1036-e1038.CN
- A 72-year-old man with castration-resistant prostate adenocarcinoma underwent 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT for restaging due to significantly increased PSA levels during chemotherapy. Imaging revealed high 68Ga-PSMA-11 uptake in bilateral adrenal uptake, with additional uptake in the prostate and few sclerotic bone lesions. MRI and afterwards adrenal gland biopsy confirmed adrenal metastases, an uncommon …

- A 65-year-old woman with a 10-year history of right breast cancer underwent mastectomy and chemoradiotherapy. Five years later, left supraclavicular lymph node metastases prompted further chemoradiotherapy. She recently developed new right cervical lymph node metastases and left supraclavicular ulcer, referred for 99mTc-FAPI-46 imaging in a clinical trial. The whole body imaging demonstrated a fo…

- All Arthroscopic Decompression and Bone Grafting of Cyst in the Talus. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: Arthroscopic cyst decompression is a good alternative to open decompression with less morbidity and speedy recovery. Patient selection is the key factor. This procedure is indicated for talar bone cysts associated with small osteochondral lesions or intact articular surface.

- Role of [18]F-FDG PET/CT in monitoring treatment response in extrapulmonary tuberculosis: a retrospective observational study. [Letter]
- CONCLUSIONS: [18]F-FDG PET/CT may effectively assist clinicians in monitoring treatment response in complex scenarios with a suboptimal or unfavourable clinical response. However, persistent hypermetabolism must be interpreted cautiously, as it may reflect sterile inflammation or alternative diagnoses rather than ongoing infection.

- New periodontal phenotype classification in patients with different types of malocclusion and dental crowding. [Journal Article]J Periodontol. 2026 Oct 08. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: The anterior periodontal phenotype is not randomly distributed but rather reflects sagittal and vertical skeletal patterns and is independent of tooth alignment and crowding severity. Class III and hypodivergent patterns are more commonly associated not only with reduced GT but also with narrow KTW and reduced ABT, which highlights the importance of phenotype-guided risk assessment in orthodontic planning.

- Mandibular fracture with subsequent sequestrum formation and tooth-root abscess in a 3-year-old mare. [Case Reports]Can Vet J. 2026 Oct; 67(10):1112-1117.CV
- A 3-year-old quarter horse cross mare was presented to the Atlantic Veterinary College (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) for evaluation of a persistent draining tract on the ventral aspect of the left mandible, associated with a previous fracture. Radiography and ultrasonography confirmed the presence of a chronic sequestrum separated from the parent bone. Sequestrectomy and surgical debridem…

- Shapley effects to identify the most influential input parameters of organ dose estimation following CT scans in childhood. [Journal Article]J Radiol Prot. 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]JR
- A current methodological challenge in radiation epidemiology is to account for dose uncertainty in risk estimation. An important preliminary step can be to identify the most influential input parameters involved in dose estimation, before modelling and accounting for their related uncertainty in radiation-induced health risk estimates. In this work, a variance-based global sensitivity analysis (G…

- Case Report: Breaking the diagnostic dilemma of "lymphoma-like" presentation: a case of adult-onset Still's disease characterized by generalized lymphadenopathy and extremely elevated ferritin. [Case Reports]
- Adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) is a rare autoinflammatory disease, the clinical manifestations of which often overlap with other diseases such as lymphoma. This overlap makes differential diagnosis difficult, especially in patients with generalized lymphadenopathy, splenomegaly, and systemic metabolic hyperactivity. In this article, we discuss a 53-year-old East Asian (Chinese) female patient…
