  • Terbium organic framework with dual sensing pathways for 2,4-dinitrotoluene detection. [Journal Article]
    Anal Chim Acta. 2026 Nov 01; 1421:346047.Zhang Z, Tao R, … Gong ZAC
  • Accurate determination of 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT) is vital for environmental protection and public health. Although fluorescent methods for DNT detection offer the advantages of simplicity, rapid response, and low cost, they often suffer from limited sensitivity and selectivity due to sole reliance on the inner filter effect. In this work, a novel terbium organic framework (denoted as Tb-BCA) wa…
  • The non-SEI nature of the magnesium metal anode interphase in chloride-based glyme electrolytes. [Journal Article]
Faraday Discuss. 2026 Jul 23. [Online ahead of print]Drvarič Talian S, Moškon J, … Dominko RFD
  • Magnesium metal anodes offer a promising pathway for high-energy-density post-lithium batteries, but their practical application is hindered by a poorly understood electrode-electrolyte interphase. While lithium metal anodes operate via an ionically conductive and electronically resistive SEI, it remains unclear if magnesium operates under similar principles. We demonstrate that the surface film …
  • Depth of implant mucosal tunnel influences its microbiota: a prospective observational cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]
    BMC Oral Health. 2026 Jul 17; 26(1).Ashurko I, Bokareva S, … Unkovskiy ABO
  • CONCLUSIONS: within the limitations of this exploratory cross-sectional study, implant mucosal tunnel depth was associated with differences in cultivable microbial composition and local TNF-α expression in clinically stable peri-implant tissues. Deeper mucosal tunnels (> 5 mm) demonstrated reduced cultivable species diversity without a consistent predominance of cultivable periodontal pathogens under the applied culture conditions. The observed increase in TNF-α expression should be interpreted as a biologic association rather than evidence of active inflammation or disease. Due to the culture-based methodology and the absence of longitudinal clinical data, no conclusions regarding disease risk or progression can be drawn.
  • Is a Resorbable Citrate-based Bioceramic Device Associated With Osseous Integration? An Early Retrospective MRI Analysis. [Journal Article]
Clin Orthop Relat Res. 2026 Jun 15. [Online ahead of print]Berberian WS, Day J, Schon LCO
  • CONCLUSIONS: In our study of a citrate-based thermoset polymer with hydroxyapatite, common problems associated with other resorbable devices were not seen. Although these findings are promising, our series was very small and had multiple limitations. Therefore, this study should not serve as a basis to recommend widespread use of this material without publication of larger and more rigorous studies that independently replicate our findings.
  • Atomically resolved scanning tunneling microscope for use in a 42 T resistive magnet. [Journal Article]
    Ultramicroscopy. 2026 Jul; 284:114380.Wang J, Dong S, … Lu QU
  • High magnetic field Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) is an essential tool for investigating the rich physical properties of materials. However, due to the extreme difficulty of designing an ultra-stable STM head and the strict requirements for the imaging environment, most reported STM systems operate only within superconducting magnets with fields below 20 T and minimal vibration. To date, no…
