- Transient Whitish Change in the Gastric Mucosa Induced by Water-Jet Flushing. [Journal Article]
- Localized transient whitening of the gastric mucosa after water-jet flushing through the auxiliary water channel is rarely described. We report a 49-year-old man who underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection for a 5-mm gastric-type neoplasm on the greater curvature of the lower gastric body. During washing of adjacent non-lesional mucosa, strong auxiliary water-channel flushing for approximately…

- Life-Threatening Melena from Deep Ileal Angiodysplasia Successfully Treated by Intraoperative Enteroscopy-Guided Segmental Resection: A Case Report. [Case Reports]Surg Case Rep. 2026; 12(1).SC
- CONCLUSIONS: IOE-guided surgery is a definitive diagnostic and therapeutic option in life-threatening small bowel bleeding when standard modalities fail. Early multidisciplinary decision-making and prompt surgical intervention are essential in such high-risk older patients receiving anticoagulation therapy.

- Digitally-driven optimization of intraoral water jet parameters for plaque removal: a personalized 3D-guided orthogonal study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This study identifies water pressure as a primary determinant of water jet efficacy, with optimal results achieved at specific intermediate settings for nozzle diameter and working distance. The methodology combining personalized 3D-printed guides with orthogonal design presents a practical digital framework for the in-vivo optimization of dental therapeutic parameters.

- Optimization of Narrow Cavity Flow Field Via a Passive Self-Exciting Slot Jet for Root Canal Irrigation. [Journal Article]J Biomech Eng. 2026 Mar 01; 148(3).JB
- Root canal treatment is crucial for preventing oral diseases, and its success hinges on the effective removal of biofilm and debris from the canal wall by the irrigant. However, the intricate and narrow anatomy of root canals limits the efficacy of irrigant jet in the critical apical region, hindering fluid mixing and the removal of wall-adherent material. To address this, a passive self-exciting…

- Intentional Negotiation and Filling of Accessory Canals: A Case Series With Three-Dimensional Segmentation and Volumetric Healing Assessment. [Case Reports]Int Endod J. 2026 Apr; 59(4):728-736.IE
- CONCLUSIONS: This case series presents successful intentional instrumentation and obturation of ACs, supported by CBCT-based planning and follow-up. Although limited by the lack of a control group, the findings highlight the potential role of CBCT imaging and segmentation in identifying and accessing complex anatomy. Further prospective studies are needed to determine the impact of this approach on long-term clinical outcomes.

- An In Vitro Investigation of the Impact of Ultrasound Induced-Streaming Motions on the Flow Inside Lateral Features of the Root Canal. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The flow during ultrasonic irrigation inside lateral features of the root canal is complex and considerably affected by the position of the endodontic file and the inclination of the channel. An optimum location of the file tip leads to maximization of the induced velocity inside the lateral canal, suggesting more effective cleaning.

- Comparative analysis of dentinal tubule penetration: effects of irrigation activation methods and root canal sealers: in-vitro study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: It was found that sonic activation and BioRoot RCS were superior in dentinal tubule penetration compared to other groups. All the groups have demonstrated penetration. It is believed that effective dentinal tubule penetration can be achieved with continuous irrigation, properly applied activation systems, and adherence to manufacturer instructions when using root canal sealers.

- Evidence-Based Framework for Surgical Irrigation Fluid Stewardship and Endoscopic Case Prioritization During Fluid Shortages. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Among endoscopic urology cases, the 4 most fluid-intensive procedures consume 42% of surgical irrigation fluid. A case prioritization framework that accounts for fluid consumption and clinical urgency can help urology practices navigate potential case deferrals. Fluid stewardship principles may optimize fluid conservation to minimize adverse impact on patients and trainees.

- The effectiveness of oral irrigators on periodontal health status and oral hygiene of orthodontic patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [Systematic Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Adding DWJ to either manual or automatic toothbrushes did not significantly enhance oral health of orthodontic patients. Orthodontists could recommend their patients to use either of these toothbrushes with or without DWJ. Further clinical trials are needed.

- Carboplatin-induced hematuria in a patient with stage I seminoma: a case report. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: Hematuria and acute kidney injury are rare but clinically relevant adverse events associated with the administration of carboplatin, regardless of the administered and accumulated dose. It is crucial to recognize this event and start adequate hydration promptly to prevent further kidney damage and the need for more aggressive measures, such as ureteral stenting or percutaneous nephrostomy.

- Bacterial Contamination Control with Sodium Hypochlorite and Jet Lavage Irrigation in a Severe Stage 4 Pelvic Pressure Injury: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
- This case report reviews the effect of combining a 250-cc bottle of standard antimicrobial, buffered sodium hypochlorite with a surgical method, low-pressure jet lavage irrigation in the outpatient setting to control difficult wound contamination. A 73-year-old man had been in treatment for over 8 years, undergoing at least 18 surgical wound debridement procedures for an extensive undermined pelv…

- [Bacterial load of the surroundings during rigid diagnostic bronchoscopy under high frequency jet-ventilation]. [Journal Article]Pneumologie. 2024 Sep; 78(9):620-625.P
- CONCLUSIONS: When performing a rigid bronchoscopy, in which patients are mechanically ventilated in a controlled manner using an open HFJV system, there is an increased pathogen load in the ambient air and therefore a potential risk for the examiner.

- Efficacy of different irrigation agitation systems in the removal of root canal sealers from artificial standardised grooves. [Journal Article]
- The present study aims to assess the efficacy of different irrigation agitation systems in removing calcium silicate-based sealers from artificial standardised apical grooves. After the root canal instrumentation of 96 teeth, artificial apical grooves were created in half of each root. The samples were divided into two main groups according to the sealer type (AH Plus Jet [APJ] and Sure-Seal Root…
