  • Salvage CT Myelography: Same-Session Repositioning to Localize Spinal CSF Leaks. [Journal Article]
AJNR Am J Neuroradiol. 2026 Oct 23. [Online ahead of print]Mamlouk MD, Girn S, … Carlton Jones LAA
  • Localization of spinal CSF leaks may require multiple myelograms when the initially suspected CSF leak type is not identified. We describe a salvage CT myelography (CTM) technique in which the patient is repositioned during the same myelographic session to evaluate for an alternative CSF leak type. Eleven patients underwent salvage CTM at three institutions. When the initially suspected CSF leak …
  • Advanced CT Myelography for Spontaneous Cerebrospinal Fluid Leaks. [Review]
Radiographics. 2026 Nov; 46(11):e250208.Carlton Jones L, Ryan DT, … Scoffings DJR
  • Spontaneous intracranial hypotension is a frequently debilitating condition that is most commonly caused by loss of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the spine. The most frequently occurring types of spontaneous spinal CSF leaks that cause spontaneous intracranial hypotension are ventral dural tears, lateral dural tears, and CSF venous fistulas, but other leak types are recognized including sacral d…
  • Myelographic Imaging of Spinal Cord Disorders. [Review]
Neuroimaging Clin N Am. 2026 Nov; 36(4):639-649.Massoud TF, Matys T, Hashmi SSNC
  • Myelographic imaging evaluates the spinal canal, nerve roots, and subarachnoid space using intrathecal contrast with fluoroscopy and computed tomography (CT), or noninvasively with MR-myelography. Although MR imaging has largely replaced conventional myelography owing to its superior soft tissue contrast and noninvasive nature, CT myelography remains essential when MR imaging is contraindicated, …
  • From Spine to Limbs: Imaging Insights and Clinical Correlation in Caudal Regression Syndrome. [Case Reports]
    Mymensingh Med J. 2026 Oct; 35(4):1307-1311.Munir N, Begum K, … Ferdousi RAMM
  • Caudal regression syndrome (CRS) refers to a spectrum of congenital structural defects of the caudal region. We present a case of caudal regression syndrome with the objective of correlating the symptoms of caudal regression syndrome with the detailed imaging findings. A 05-year-old boy who was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in August 2025 , presented with a post-urethroplasty st…
  • Spine MRI in Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension: A Survey of Current State of Practice. [Journal Article]
AJNR Am J Neuroradiol. 2026 Sep 29. [Online ahead of print]Mark IT, Amrhein TJ, … Peckham MEAA
  • CONCLUSIONS: Current spine MRI protocols for SIH show substantial heterogeneity, particularly in fat-suppression technique and echo time, despite universal use of 3D T2-weighted imaging among surveyed centers. Ambiguous terminology further limits comparison across studies and may contribute to confusion regarding whether "MR myelography" refers to non-contrast heavily T2-weighted MRI or intrathecal contrast-enhanced MR myelography. Standardized terminology and more complete reporting of technical parameters are needed to improve interpretation of the literature and guide future protocol refinement.
  • Cerebrospinal fluid-venous fistula in hospitalized and critically ill patients. [Journal Article]
    J Neurol Sci. 2026 Sep 23; 491:126190. [Online ahead of print]Kinsara R, Meng H, Kapadia AJN
  • CONCLUSIONS: Cerebrospinal fluid-venous fistula related spontaneous intracranial hypotension can cause severe inpatient morbidity. Early recognition and timely fistula closure are the most important aspects of treatment. Adjunct surgical treatment is necessary for timely recovery in selected cases.
