- Persistent Epigenetic Reprogramming Is Associated With Contrasting Drought-Response Strategies in Citrus Scion-Rootstock Systems. [Journal Article]Physiol Plant. 2026; 178(5):e71113.PP
- Recurrent drought limits the productivity of perennial crops such as citrus, whose tolerance to water deficit largely depends on scion-rootstock interactions. Although physiological responses to recurrent drought are well documented, the epigenetic states associated with these responses remain poorly understood, limiting the use of epigenetic variation to improve drought resilience. Here, we inve…

- StatPearls: Deadly Single Dose Agents [BOOK]StatPearls. StatPearls Publishing: Treasure Island (FL).BOOK
- Several studies have supported Dr Gideon Koren’s 1993 landmark article, “Medications Which Can Kill a Toddler with One Tablet or Teaspoonful.” Although each study has its own merits, most focus solely on pediatric overdoses, and few provide an exhaustive reference list for real-time evaluation of ingestions in children and adults. The following xenobiotics warrant special attention because of the…
- Funneliformis mosseae Modulates Root 14-3-3 Gene Expression to Enhance Drought Tolerance in Trifoliate Orange: A Molecular-Physiological Integration. [Journal Article]
- The 14-3-3 family proteins are involved in plant metabolism and stress signal transduction, while whether and how they contribute to the enhancement of host drought tolerance by arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi remains unclear. This study aimed to identify the 14-3-3 gene family (GRF) in trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata) and analyze their responses in roots to drought and inoculation with …

- Global, regional, and national burden of HIV/AIDS, 1990-2023, with the estimated burden attributable to intimate partner violence and forecasted impacts of funding cuts through 2030: results from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Despite two decades of substantial progress, the global HIV response remains highly sensitive to gendered social determinants and funding stability. The potential contribution of IPV to HIV-related mortality among women underscores the need for integrated interventions that address violence prevention and post-violence care alongside HIV treatment. The projected effects of funding cuts-millions of additional infections and deaths-highlight the fragility of the gains achieved and the urgent need to protect HIV financing. Achieving and sustaining the UNAIDS 2030 targets will require renewed investment, gender-responsive programming, and resilient health systems capable of providing equitable access to care.
