- CONCLUSIONS: RPE defects beneath a disrupted photoreceptor layer may become "sealed" by reactive Müller cell gliosis, preventing the occurrence of SRF. RPE defects with intact photoreceptors remain "unsealed", resulting in SRF accumulation. We propose "sealed" and "unsealed" as disease agnostic terms, which can be used for cases previously described as "RPE aperture," "SMARPE," and "RPED devoid of RPE".

- Comparing and Optimizing Tissue Clearing Protocols for Cochlear Immunostaining and 3D Reconstruction by Light-Sheet Microscopy. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: The resulting fastDISCO and fastECi protocols achieved clearing and immunolabeling quality comparable to their full-length counterparts while preserving tissue morphology (applied to n = 17/20 cochleae). These rapid clearing protocols support reproducible 3D light-sheet microscopy of immunostained cochleae and enable automated cell segmentation and quantitative analysis of distinct cell types, including the inner and outer hair cells.

- CONCLUSIONS: DL-FAS was externally validated in a large, multicenter health checkup dataset and was significantly associated with both carotid atherosclerosis and coronary artery calcification. These findings highlight its potential as a noninvasive biomarker associated with systemic atherosclerotic burden and cardiovascular risk stratification, particularly in the context of opportunistic screening.

- CONCLUSIONS: Intense pulsed laser depilation during the expanding period is a safe and effective treatment for reducing hair growth following tissue expander microtia reconstruction, improving cosmetic appearance.
