  • Quartz-on-Silicon Microacoustic Multiplexed Biosensor for In Vitro Label-Free Medical Diagnosis. [Journal Article]
ACS Sens. 2026 Nov 03. [Online ahead of print]Oseev A, Chollet F, … Leblois TAS
  • Advanced biomedical analyses require simultaneous quantification of multiple entities (cells, proteins, viruses, vesicles, …) calling for a multiplexed and compact biosensor. Label-free approaches giving access to the kinetic of interaction between key molecules are solid candidates for these analyses, but they currently lack either robustness for field use, multiplexing ability, or specificity. …
  • Coagulopathy and anticoagulation management in adult ECPR patients. [Review]
    Crit Care. 2026 Aug 01; 30(1).Rajsic S, Lansink-Hartgring AO, … Vandenbriele CCC
  • Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) has emerged as a lifesaving strategy for refractory cardiac arrest, restoring systemic perfusion when conventional cardiopulmonary resuscitation fails. However, ECPR profoundly disrupts haemostasis, driven by the combined effects of whole-body ischaemia-reperfusion injury, systemic inflammation, endothelial activation, platelet dysfunction, and …
  • Research on large-scale tuberculosis screening in the elderly rural population. [Journal Article]
    BMC Infect Dis. 2026 Aug 04; 26(1).Li J, Wang Y, … Cao GBI
  • CONCLUSIONS: This study provides exploratory findings on the implementation of population-wide active TB screening among elderly individuals, with a non-statistically significant 10% increase in case detection compared with conventional passive surveillance systems (1.10, 95% CI: 0.85-1.43). Among male participants, the observed detection rate ratio was 1.30 (95% CI: 0.96-1.76, non-statistically significant). Our results identify three demographic and clinical parameters - male sex, poor nutritional status, and a history of previous TB - that showed cross-sectional associations with TB detection in this screening setting, suggesting they may warrant further investigation for potential inclusion in future screening protocols.
  • A Low HALP score is an independent predictor of coronary artery ectasia: a retrospective comparative study. [Journal Article]
    BMC Cardiovasc Disord. 2026 Aug 06; 26(1).Akdoğan M, Kandemi̇r H, … Uygun İHBC
  • CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, a low HALP score is significantly and independently associated with the presence of coronary artery ectasia in patients without obstructive coronary artery disease, reflecting the underlying systemic inflammatory and nutritional milieu. This easily obtainable index may serve as a useful complementary biomarker for assessing inflammatory burden in CAE patients, although further large-scale prospective studies are warranted to confirm its prognostic and clinical utility.
