- Four new species of Characithecium (Monopisthocotyla: Dactylogyridae) from Acestrorhynchus falcirostris (Osteichthyes, Acestrorhynchidae) from the Itaya River, Peru. [Journal Article]
- Studies concentrating on description, identification, and analysis of monopisthocotyls are required to further our understanding of this group of parasites connected to Amazonian fish. Based on the above, the main objective of this research was to identify new species of monopisthocotyls parasitizing the gills of Acestrorhynchus falcirostris (Cuvier) collected in the Itaya River, Loreto-Peru. Twe…

- Subperiosteal circumferential connective tissue graft for vertical implant soft tissue augmentation. [Case Reports]Clin Adv Periodontics. 2026 Sep 24. [Online ahead of print]CA
- CONCLUSIONS: The SC CTG, featuring perforations created with a tissue punch to permit passage of the healing abutments, enabled graft stabilization solely by the abutments and facilitated circumferential enhancement of the peri-implant mucosal phenotype without the need for sutures when applied via the vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access. Within the limitations of this case report, this approach appears to be a simple, effective, and sutureless technique for vertical implant soft tissue augmentation.

- Plasma Cell Gingivitis With Cheilitis in an Adolescent: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
- Plasma cell gingivitis (PCG) is an uncommon plasma-cell-rich inflammatory disorder of the gingiva that may clinically resemble plaque-associated enlargement, granulomatous disease, hematologic disease, or plasma-cell neoplasia. Its association with cheilitis is rare, and diagnosis requires clinicopathologic correlation. An 18-year-old female presented with a 1-year history of progressive gingival…

- BcSTP6, a sugar transporter of STP family, modulates flowering time and plant growth by regulating sugar signaling in flowering Chinese cabbage. [Journal Article]Plant Physiol Biochem. 2026 Sep; 238:111647.PP
- Flowering Chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis var. utilis Tsen et Lee.), an cultivated variant of Brassica rapa var. chinensis in the Brassicaceae family, is distinguished from Chinese cabbage (Brassica rapa var. chinensis) by its basal leaves, which have non-stippled petioles and slender, grooved leaf stalks. Sugar transport proteins (STPs), a key subfamily within the plant mo…

- Range of fire determination in shooting fatalities classically depends on the gross presence, distribution, and density of visible gunshot residue (GSR), including soot, stippling, and bullet wipe surrounding the entrance wound. Scalp hair has been suggested to interfere with GSR deposition in head wounds, but few experimental studies have systematically addressed this variable. Misinterpretation…

- CONCLUSIONS: These findings provide the first comprehensive cytological documentation of this entity from a primary sinonasal site and delineate features diverging from Schneiderian papilloma that may prompt ancillary investigations.

- X-linked ARSL chondrodysplasia punctata: expanding the spectrum with a severe multisystem phenotype. [Case Reports]Case Rep Perinat Med. 2026 Jan; 15(1):20250031.CR
- CONCLUSIONS: Our report broadens the clinical spectrum of CDPX1 to include dynamic cervical cord compression with potential secondary autonomic cardiac events. Early genetic confirmation, anticipatory airway and spinal imaging, extensive respiratory and multidisciplinary management are essential for early recognition, prognostication and prevention of potentially fatal outcomes in severe forms of this rare disorder.

- Clinicopathological and molecular comparison of eosinophilic solid and cystic renal cell carcinoma and TFEB-amplified renal cell carcinoma: a comprehensive study of 15 cases. [Journal Article]Histopathology. 2026 Aug 13. [Online ahead of print]H
- CONCLUSIONS: Although ESC-RCC and TFEB-RCC share overlapping morphological and immunohistochemical features, each demonstrates somewhat characteristic histological findings. Definitive distinction requires molecular testing to identify the underlying molecular alterations. As molecular testing assumes an increasingly important role in RCC diagnosis and classification, recognition of these rare entities and their overlapping and distinguishing features is essential for appropriate testing and accurate diagnosis.

- X-linked chondrodysplasia punctata 2 (CDPX2) is a genetic disorder characterized by skeletal, cutaneous, and ophthalmic abnormalities. In this study, we present with a fetal case of CDPX2 which was identified in the first trimester by ultrasound and was confirmed by molecular diagnosis. The 12-week ultrasound revealed that nearly the entire thorax exhibited irregular rib-like stippling in the fou…
