  • Real-world multicenter study of thalidomide in NDMM patients in Taiwan. [Journal Article]
J Formos Med Assoc. 2026 Aug 24. [Online ahead of print]Lin YC, Chang YC, … Huang SYJF
  • CONCLUSIONS: VTD induction followed by thalidomide maintenance is effective and well-tolerated in both transplant-eligible and ineligible NDMM patients. These real-world findings support the expanded use of thalidomide maintenance therapy in Taiwan and highlight its potential to provide long-term disease control with manageable toxicity.
  • Beyond Kinase Inhibition: From Catalytic Blockade to Control of Protein Fate. [Review]
    Chimia (Aarau). 2026 Aug 19; 80(7-8):501-508.Diepeveen J, Kozicka ZC
  • Kinase inhibitors are a cornerstone of modern drug discovery, with more than 100 approved compounds which have had a transformative impact in precision oncology and inflammatory disease. Their success has rested largely on small-molecule control of catalytic activity through ATP-site engagement; a framework that leaves important biology unaddressed, including non-catalytic kinase functions, resis…
  • Hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia presenting with refractory gastrointestinal bleeding. [Case Reports]
BMJ Case Rep. 2026 Aug 18; 19(8).Chauhan VK, Jain N, … Verma SKBC
  • A man in his 20s presented with progressive fatigue and melena, with a history of recurrent epistaxis since adolescence and a positive family history. Evaluation revealed severe iron-deficiency anaemia (haemoglobin 27 g/L) with persistently positive faecal occult blood. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy demonstrated multiple bleeding telangiectasias in the stomach and duodenum. Cross-sectional ima…
  • Synthesis and Biological Activity of Azolo[a]quinoxalines. [Review]
Molecules. 2026 Jul 24; 31(15).Nosova EV, Lipunova GN, Charushin VNM
  • This review covers published data (mostly from 2019 to 2025) on the synthesis and biological activity of azolo[a]quinoxalines, including pyrazolo-, imidazo- and triazolo-annelated systems. We highlight that most research efforts are directed toward the design of anticancer agents, with additional applications as Toll-like receptor antagonists, monoamine oxidase inhibitors, opioid receptor modulat…
