- HIV and Antiretroviral Therapy Influence Tumor Microenvironment Architecture, Subclonal Evolution, and Immune Evasion Strategies in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. [Journal Article]Cancer Res Commun. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]CR
- The tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) and tumor heterogeneity shape prognosis and therapeutic response in Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL), but HIV-associated (HIV+) DLBCL remains poorly understood. To characterize the TIME and tumor-intrinsic features of DLBCL across a spectrum of HIV-associated immune dysregulation, we applied imaging mass cytometry (IMC), spatial transcriptomics (ST), …

- Association between Serum Human Satellite II RNA and miR-21-5p Levels and Time to Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis in a Prospective Population-based Study. [Journal Article]Pancreas. 2026 Sep 22. [Online ahead of print]P
- CONCLUSIONS: The PDAC index showed a possible association with proximity of pancreatic cancer diagnosis, with higher values observed closer to clinical diagnosis. While these preliminary findings should be interpreted in light of the study limitations, they provide a rationale for further evaluation of the PDAC index in larger studies with longer follow-up periods.

- Melanoma Recurrence Prediction Using a Tissue-Free Epigenomic Molecular Residual Disease Assay: a Multicenter Prospective Observational Study (COSMOS-MEL01). [Journal Article]Cancer Res Commun. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]CR
- Despite recent adoption of perioperative therapy for high-risk melanoma, its overall survival benefit remains unclear, highlighting the need for biomarkers to identify patients likely to benefit from treatment. Detection of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) after definitive treatment predicts recurrence, and emerging molecular residual disease (MRD) assays may influence management. We validated a tis…

- Bibliometric analysis of international, English-language publication activity in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and intensive and emergency medicine over a 10-year interval. [Journal Article]Minerva Anestesiol. 2026 Sep; 92(9):879-889.MA
- CONCLUSIONS: This study identifies a decline in publication volume alongside increased citation activity in high impact anesthesiology and intensive care medicine journals, largely driven by the dominance of clinical studies and a growing prevalence of meta-analyses and registry studies, suggesting a shift in research priorities. Reduced publication numbers likely result from increasing journal selectivity and redistribution of research output toward open-access and non-specialty journals. The country ranking is dominated by the USA and other English-speaking nations, which can be attributed to the English-language literature analyzed. However, smaller nations like Denmark and Switzerland lead in population-based ranking, revealing critical insights into research infrastructure and institutional support.

- Effects of intraoperative transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation in patients undergoing hip arthroplasty or femur fracture fixation under general anesthesia. [Journal Article]Minerva Anestesiol. 2026 Sep; 92(9):817-831.MA
- CONCLUSIONS: TEAS-assisted general anesthesia significantly improves perioperative outcomes in orthopedic surgery patients by enhancing hemodynamic stability, reducing medication needs, mitigating stress responses, decreasing pain, and preserving cognitive function, while increasing satisfaction and lowering adverse reactions. Further prospective studies are needed to validate these findings.

- Multisite Anodal Direct Current Stimulation Preserves Motor Function and Modulates Key Cellular Pathways in TDP-43 and SOD1 Mouse Models of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. [Journal Article]Neuromodulation. 2026 Sep 03. [Online ahead of print]N
- CONCLUSIONS: Multisite anodal DCS effectively modulates spinal excitability and preserves motor function in two mechanistically distinct mouse models of ALS. In the TDP-43 A315T model, these functional benefits are accompanied by preservation of motor neuron structure and molecular changes consistent with improved protein homeostasis. Together, these findings support multisite DCS as a promising neuromodulatory strategy for influencing disease-relevant mechanisms and slowing functional decline in ALS.

- Struggling for resonance: Mediopassive interaction in a long-term treatment of severe personality disorder. [Journal Article]Psychotherapy (Chic). 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]P
- Although clinicians often report significant emotional challenges in psychotherapy for personality disorders, we still know relatively little about how these difficulties are enacted and reorganized in moment-to-moment patient-therapist interaction. We examine whether interactional resonance and mediopassive agency can help illuminate relational difficulties and change in a good-outcome long-term…

- Work-to-family conflict and family role performance among employed adult child caregivers: A moderated mediation model. [Journal Article]J Fam Psychol. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]JF
- Work-to-family conflict has significant implications for adult child caregivers and the older parents they care for, and cultural values such as filial piety play a critical role in shaping these dynamics. By integrating the work-home resources model with the dual filial piety framework, this study offers a novel perspective on how filial piety shapes the resource-depletion processes linking work…

- Models of intergenerational transmission of depression implicate lower sensitive parenting as a key mechanism linking maternal depressive symptoms and offspring outcomes. A well-developed literature demonstrates consistent, modest, negative associations between maternal depressive symptoms and sensitive parenting. However, this literature relies primarily on methods ill-suited to examine developm…

- A meta-analysis of the dynamism of emergent states and team processes. [Journal Article]J Appl Psychol. 2026 Oct 05. [Online ahead of print]JA
- Prevailing theories of teamwork propose that a team's cognitive, affective, and motivational states (i.e., emergent states) and its members' interdependent actions (i.e., team processes) are inherently dynamic. Nevertheless, much of the existing literature overlooks critical components of theories on system dynamics (e.g., inertia, coevolution, feedback) and has largely failed to consider how tim…

- Characterization of decidual natural killer cells cell heterogeneity and dynamic evolution in recurrent miscarriage based on single cell RNA-seq analysis. [Journal Article]Integr Biol (Camb). 2026 Jan 16; 18.IB
- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings demonstrate dNK cell dysfunction in RM, marked by heightened interferon signaling and aberrant crosstalk with trophoblasts. Integrative analysis of public transcriptomic data suggests that dNK cell-directed interventions represent a putative therapeutic avenue for RM. Insight RM linked to decidual immune imbalance with reduced dNK and increased monocytes/macrophages. Two dNK subclusters (PAEP-high, LGALS1-high) with specific gene expression pattern in RM. RM shows impaired angiogenesis, inflammation, and trophoblast apoptosis in dNK cell-mediated signaling pathways. Dysfunctional dNK cells drive RM, revealing potential therapeutic targets for treatment.

- CONCLUSIONS: The HEV seroprevalence rate detected among the population of the AR corresponds to the Russian average level. Pig farm workers and their family members are at increased risk of HEV infection, which justifies the need to develop preventive measures for this group. The high seroprevalence among reindeer requires further molecular research to clarify their role as a zoonotic reservoir of HEV infection.

- CONCLUSIONS: Enhanced replication of oncolytic flaviviruses and alphaviruses in the presence of ruxolitinib could significantly improve the efficacy of therapy for resistant and highly immunosuppressive pancreatic cancer.
