  • Palisaded Neutrophilic and Granulomatous Dermatitis in Crohn's Disease under Infliximab Therapy with Concomitant Herpes Zoster Infection: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
Case Rep Dermatol. 2026; 18(1):646-653.Abboud S, Titeca G, Secco LPCR
  • CONCLUSIONS: This case highlights the multifactorial nature of PNGD, in which Crohn's disease, anti-TNF therapy, and post-zoster immune dysregulation may act as synergistic triggers. Although anti-TNF agents are known to both treat and paradoxically induce PNGD, reports in IBD remain uncommon. PNGD shares overlapping histoclinical features with interstitial granulomatous dermatitis and neutrophilic dermatoses, supporting the concept of a spectrum of reactive granulomatous dermatitis. Recognition of PNGD is essential, as it may serve as a marker of underlying systemic disease or immune dysregulation. Management focuses on treating associated conditions, with topical or systemic anti-inflammatory therapies used as adjuncts. Further studies on immunopathogenesis may refine the classification of these overlapping entities.
  • Common Skin Rashes in Children. [Review]
Am Fam Physician. 2026 Oct; 114(4):345-357.Wilson JL, Swanson A, Rajpara AAF
  • Childhood skin rashes are frequently evaluated by primary care physicians and are often diagnosed by recognition of distinguishing features. Atopic dermatitis affects 15% to 20% of children, usually with onset before the age of 2 years. Treatment is based on severity and begins with emollients and topical steroids. Erythema infectiosum presents with the slapped cheek rash that progresses to retic…
  • Disseminated Histoplasmosis Presenting as Mucocutaneous Lesions in an Immunocompetent Patient. [Case Reports]
Am J Trop Med Hyg. 2026 Oct 13. [Online ahead of print]Nukala PK, Basu A, … Banerjee KAJ
  • A case of an immunocompetent male patient in his 50s, an oil field worker from the northeastern part of India who presented with fever, weight loss over 4 months, and multiple umbilicated papulonodular lesions on his face and nodular lesions over the hard palate, is reported. The initial suspicion was talaromycosis, which is endemic in that part of the country. Periodic acid-Schiff and Grocott-Go…
  • Eczema Molluscatum in a Patient With Atopic Dermatitis on Upadacitinib and Methotrexate. [Case Reports]
    Cureus. 2026 Aug; 18(8):e115350.Wiesenhofer H, Waldal G, … Hamann CRC
  • Eczema molluscatum refers to widespread molluscum contagiosum (MC) infection occurring in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD), a setting in which impaired skin barrier function and immune dysregulation both promote viral spread. We report the case of a 29-year-old man with longstanding, treatment-refractory AD who was well controlled on upadacitinib, a selective Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitor, …
  • Kaposi's Varicelliform Eruption in a Child with Atopic Dermatitis: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
    Reports (MDPI). 2026 Aug 17; 9(3).Lendínez-Jurado A, García-Ruiz A, Ruiz-Dassy VR
  • Background and Clinical Significance: Eczema herpeticum (EH), or Kaposi's varicelliform eruption, is a dermatologic emergency characterized by the abrupt onset of painful monomorphic vesiculopustules with potential for rapid dissemination. Atopic dermatitis (AD) is the main predisposing condition due to skin barrier dysfunction and impaired antiviral immunity. Early recognition is essential becau…
  • Acquired reactive perforating collagenosis in a patient with multiple comorbidities: a case report from Palestine. [Case Reports]
    Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1870746.Mohsen M, Jaber E, … Adwan RFM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Acquired reactive perforating collagenosis remains a rare dermatologic disease. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the first reported case from Palestine. This case highlights the potential coexistence of ARPC with various systemic comorbidities, underscoring the need for comprehensive clinical assessment and exploration of underlying diseases in affected individuals. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of increased clinical awareness, particularly among physicians in similar settings, to consider ARPC in the differential diagnosis of pruritic cutaneous eruptions, especially in patients with associated comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease.
  • Sexually-acquired genital manifestations of mpox in black-skin African patients: A case series. [Journal Article]

This study aimed to describe the clinical manifestations of genital mpox acquired through sexual contact in heterosexual African couples.MethodsThis was a case series of patients presenting with genital lesions associated or without febrile pustular or vesicular eruptions and confirmed with…
  • Disseminated Juvenile Xanthogranuloma in an Infant Requiring Systemic Therapy: A Case Report. [Case Reports]
Cureus. 2026 Apr; 18(4):e108031.Okouango ES, Baghad B, … Chiheb SC
  • Juvenile xanthogranuloma (XGJ) is a generally benign non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis (non-LCH) that primarily affects infants and children. It typically presents as a single skin lesion. Disseminated and profuse forms remain rare and can pose diagnostic or therapeutic challenges. The classification of histiocytoses has recently evolved, incorporating disseminated XGJ into group "C" of non-LCH c…
