- Ribociclib-Induced Vitiligo: A Case Report with Histological, Dermatoscopic, Confocal Microscopy, and LC-OCT Findings Along with a Narrative Literature Review. [Review]Dermatol Pract Concept. 2026 Jul 31; 16(3).DP
- CONCLUSIONS: The observed alterations in melanocyte regression could represent evidence of systemic immune activation and autoimmunity influencing melanocyte viability. These mechanisms may have significant implications for improving patient prognosis.

- Oxidative stress in refractory and recurrent vitiligo: from immune amplification mechanisms to potential stratified antioxidant combination therapy. [Review]Front Immunol. 2026; 17:1978208.FI
- Vitiligo is an acquired depigmenting disorder characterized by destruction of epidermal melanocytes and skin depigmentation. Although treatments have developed substantially, there is still a considerable proportion of vitiligo patients fail to achieve satisfactory repigmentation or experience disease recurrence after treatment withdrawal. Vitiligo treatment failure involves heterogeneous clinica…

- Intra-Patient Split-Lesion Comparison of Non-Cultured Epidermal Cell Suspension versus a Mechanically Processed Follicular Preparation in Stable Segmental Vitiligo: A Case Report. [Case Reports]Clin Cosmet Investig Dermatol. 2026; 19:633767.CC
- CONCLUSIONS: In this patient, the NCES-treated region showed greater visually estimated repigmentation at 12 months. Informal treatment-region assignment without a documented randomization sequence, the PRP-containing follicular processing protocol, uncertain cellular content of the follicular preparation, and non-objective outcome assessment preclude comparative efficacy conclusions. This observation is hypothesis-generating.

- Bairesi Pills ameliorates vitiligo-like depigmentation by reducing hippuric acid accumulation and regulating MAPK14/β-catenin mediated melanogenesis. [Journal Article]Phytomedicine. 2026 Sep 23; 162:158822. [Online ahead of print]P
- CONCLUSIONS: Bairesi Pills ameliorates vitiligo-like depigmentation by reshaping the gut microbiota-metabolite profile, reducing hippuric acid accumulation, and reversing HA-induced oxidative stress through inhibition of MAPK14 phosphorylation.

- TRPM2 couples cell-autonomous type-I interferon signaling to pigmentation homeostasis. [Journal Article]J Biol Chem. 2026 Oct 08; :113624. [Online ahead of print]JB
- Transient Receptor Potential Melastatin 2 (TRPM2), a Ca[2+]-permeable cation channel, regulates innate and adaptive immunity and has recently been implicated in vitiligo, an autoimmune pigmentary disorder. However, whether TRPM2 exerts cell-autonomous immunoregulatory functions and how such signaling intersects with pigmentation remain unknown. Here, we reveal an unexpected role for TRPM2 as an i…

- Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease is a demyelinating disorder affecting the central nervous system. Autoimmune regulator mutations disrupt central tolerance and cause immunodeficiency and autoimmune manifestations. We report the case of a 49-year-old Asian male with relapsing myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease and a heterozygous dominant-…

- Vitiligo and Its Mimics in Childhood: A Diagnostic Framework for Hypopigmented Disorders. [Review]Ann Dermatol. 2026 Oct; 38(5):360-374.AD
- Hypopigmented disorders in childhood encompass a broad spectrum of presentations, including depigmentation, hypopigmentation, and pseudo-hypopigmentation arising from non-melanin mechanisms. In clinical practice, the primary challenge often lies in distinguishing these conditions from vitiligo, the most common acquired depigmentation disorder. Although vitiligo is categorized into nonsegmental an…

- Personalized Approaches to Facial Vitiligo: A Comprehensive Review From Clinical Phenotypes to Novel Therapeutic Strategies. [Review]Ann Dermatol. 2026 Oct; 38(5):347-359.AD
- Facial vitiligo affects a substantial proportion of patients with vitiligo and is associated with significant psychosocial burden due to its visibility. Facial vitiligo is primarily classified into nonsegmental and segmental subtypes, each with distinct distribution patterns and prognostic features. Nonsegmental vitiligo is further divided into 3 morphological patterns-centrofacial, panfacial, an…

- Stigmatization in patients with chronic skin diseases in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia: a cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]Dermatol Reports. 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]DR
- Chronic skin diseases such as psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema, and acne can have substantial psychosocial effects beyond physical symptoms. Visible dermatological conditions often lead to stigmatization, which may negatively influence social interactions, emotional well-being, and quality of life. However, limited research has examined perceived stigmatization among patients with chronic skin disease…

- Case Report: JAK1 inhibition after dupilumab discontinuation in pediatric atopic dermatitis complicated by pre-existing or emerging vitiligo. [Case Reports]
- CONCLUSIONS: This case series describes a pediatric AD-vitiligo overlap phenotype in which final transition to JAK1 inhibition was associated with improvement of both diseases after dupilumab discontinuation. Causality between dupilumab and vitiligo cannot be established. JAK1 inhibition may be considered in carefully selected children requiring simultaneous control of AD and active vitiligo.

- UVB-Induced Repigmentation in Vitiligo: Hair Follicle Melanocyte Stem Cell Migration and Its Molecular Mechanisms. [Review]Pigment Cell Melanoma Res. 2026 Nov; 39(6):e70124.PC
- Vitiligo is an acquired depigmentation disorder characterized by the loss of epidermal melanocytes and can markedly impair patients' quality of life. Because of its dual effects on immunosuppression and repigmentation, UVB phototherapy has become a first-line treatment for vitiligo. It is particularly valuable in inducing repigmentation of skin lesions. Since epidermal melanocytes are markedly re…
