- Cardiovascular Complications of Chronic Liver Disease. [Review]
- Chronic liver disease is an increasingly prevalent and heterogeneous syndrome with important consequences for cardiovascular function. As the global burdens of chronic liver disease and cirrhosis continue to rise, cardiovascular disease has emerged as a major driver of overall morbidity and mortality in affected patients. Despite the growing recognition of the intersectionality between hepatology…

- CONCLUSIONS: Nearly one-third of chronic coronary syndrome patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention were discharged on high-potency P2Y12 inhibitors, with decreasing trends over time. Practice patterns reflected perceived ischemic versus bleeding risk and significant institutional variation, underscoring opportunities for quality improvement and guideline alignment.

[Journal Article]Circ Arrhythm Electrophysiol. 2026 Oct 12; :e014919. [Online ahead of print]CA
- CONCLUSIONS: The KCNH2-G604S variant drives a severe multihit phenotype via primary IKr loss-of-function and secondary state-dependent gain-of-function in persistent ICa,L. These comprehensive validations demonstrate that the remodeled persistent ICa,L acts as the essential amplifier driving extreme action potential duration prolongation and Ca[2+] mishandling.

- Prominent V Waves Augment Right Ventricular Afterload Independent of the Lung Vessels in Heart Failure: Implications for Clinical Assessment of Pulmonary Vascular Disease. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: More than 1 in 5 patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction display prominent V waves in excess of end-diastolic PAWP. This augments right ventricular afterload due to backward transmission of the V wave, contributing to right heart failure that is independent of the pulmonary vasculature. Failure to account for the V wave during hemodynamic assessment overestimates the severity of pulmonary vascular disease present.

- CONCLUSIONS: In patients with NICM undergoing ventricular tachycardia ablation, unipolar LVA and LVEF are independent predictors of end-stage HF outcomes. Integrating these predictors yields a prognostic score to identify patients at the highest risk of end-stage HF outcomes.

- CONCLUSIONS: Baseline and early postablation dynamics of a sinus‑rhythm artificial intelligence-enabled ECG AF probability score are associated with pulsed field ablation recurrence and may aid multivariable risk stratification; prospective validation is warranted.
