- Comparison of Methylprednisolone and Dexamethasone in Their Interaction With Sugammadex in Pediatric Patients: A Randomized Controlled Trial. [Journal Article]Paediatr Anaesth. 2026 Oct 03. [Online ahead of print]PA
- CONCLUSIONS: At clinically equivalent glucocorticoid doses, methylprednisolone was associated with longer sugammadex-mediated reversal and extubation time than dexamethasone and control, while postoperative pain, nausea scores, and adverse event rates were comparable between the groups. These findings indicate that the corticosteroid selected for peri-operative use may influence the efficacy of sugammadex-mediated reversal in children.

- Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a progressive interstitial lung disease characterized by aberrant fibroblast activation and excessive extracellular matrix accumulation, predominantly collagen, leading to irreversible lung remodeling. Sinigrin (SNG), a naturally occurring glucosinolate with reported anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities, has not been investigated in the context of pu…

- Effects of Ciprofol- versus Remimazolam-Based Total Intravenous Anesthesia on Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting After Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy: A Randomized Controlled Trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]Drug Des Devel Ther. 2026; 20:624552.DD
- CONCLUSIONS: Under a standardized prophylactic antiemetic protocol, ciprofol-based total intravenous anesthesia was associated with a lower 24-h incidence of PONV than remimazolam-based anesthesia in adults undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. No statistically significant between-group differences were observed in postoperative recovery measures, adverse events, or vasopressor use; however, the trial was not powered to establish equivalence for these secondary or safety outcomes. Further multicenter studies are needed to confirm the robustness and generalizability of this finding across different multimodal antiemetic strategies.

- Peli1 promotes sepsis-induced inflammation and coagulopathy by maintaining lipg stability in macrophages. [Journal Article]J Thromb Thrombolysis. 2026 Oct 03. [Online ahead of print]JT
- Sepsis is marked by dysregulated inflammation and coagulopathy, with macrophages playing a central role. However, the molecular mechanisms linking macrophage dysfunction to sepsis-associated coagulopathy remain unclear. This study investigated the role of the E3 ubiquitin ligase Peli1 in sepsis progression and its downstream mechanism. Public scRNA-seq data from sepsis patients were analyzed to i…

- Inflammation- and metabolism-related transcriptional features in murine lupus nephritis: A single-cell kidney reanalysis. [Journal Article]Transl Oncol. 2026 Oct 02; 73:103058. [Online ahead of print]TO
- CONCLUSIONS: The murine kidney libraries showed heterogeneous inflammation- and metabolism-related transcriptional features, without a consistent overall difference in IFN scores. Program directions overlapped partly with those in ccRCC, while selected immune transcripts responded differently to drug exposure. Their relevance to LN requires confirmation in independent renal cohorts and matched cell models.

- CONCLUSIONS: This case underscores the diagnostic pitfalls of AITL complicated by HLH and highlights the importance of early pathological reassessment and a stepwise treatment approach prioritizing control of hyperinflammation in patients with discordant clinical and pathological findings.

- Intravenous Dexamethasone Prolongs Opioid-Free Analgesia After Pediatric Hand Surgery: A Randomized Triple-Blind Trial. [Journal Article]J Pediatr Orthop. 2026 Oct 02. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: Adjunctive intravenous dexamethasone prolonged opioid-free analgesia and reduced postoperative opioid requirements after pediatric hand surgery. Although analgesic outcomes improved in a dose-dependent manner, higher dexamethasone doses were associated with longer time to first documented spontaneous finger movement.

- Real-World Outcomes of Fosaprepitant-Containing Prophylaxis in Patients Receiving Highly and Moderately Emetogenic Chemotherapy: A Two-Center Retrospective Study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: In this real-world study, high rates of vomiting control were observed with fosaprepitant-based antiemetic therapy. The treatment was generally well tolerated. Although not statistically significant, the lower response rates observed in patients receiving MEC regimens and those with high anxiety levels suggest the need for more vigilant monitoring in these patient subgroups.

- Cumulative pre-chemoimmunotherapy dexamethasone dose is associated with adverse outcomes in primary central nervous system lymphoma. [Journal Article]Front Oncol. 2026; 16:1905984.FO
- CONCLUSIONS: HDE prior to chemoimmunotherapy was independently associated with worse survival outcomes in patients with PCNSL. A cumulative dexamethasone dose of 154 mg was identified as an exploratory threshold associated with survival differences and requires prospective validation before clinical implementation.

- Liposomal Bupivacaine versus Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Plus Dexamethasone for Combined Adductor Canal and iPACK Blocks in Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Randomized Controlled Trial. [Randomized Controlled Trial]
- CONCLUSIONS: In patients undergoing TKA, the liposomal bupivacaine-containing ACB+iPACK regimen was associated with lower postoperative pain at selected time points and better quadriceps strength at 12 hours than the bupivacaine hydrochloride plus dexamethasone regimen. These findings suggest a potential early analgesic benefit during the first 72 postoperative hours, although the clinical importance of the pain difference warrants cautious interpretation.

- Glucocorticoid-induced METTL3 promotes SONFH by enhancing MEG3 m6A methylation and subsequent ABL2 upregulation. [Journal Article]Life Sci. 2026 Oct 01; :124717. [Online ahead of print]LS
- CONCLUSIONS: This study reveals a novel glucocorticoid/METTL3/MEG3/ABL2 pathway in SONFH, where METTL3-mediated m6A modification of MEG3 disrupts BMSC differentiation balance in association with ABL2 upregulation. These findings provide new insights into SONFH pathogenesis and highlight potential therapeutic targets.
