- Papaverine administration during labor induction in nulliparous patients: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]Gynecol Obstet Invest. 2026 Oct 10; :1. [Online ahead of print]GO
- CONCLUSIONS: Papaverine administration during labor induction, particularly as a single dose, was associated with a lower cesarean delivery rate and a greater likelihood of delivery within 24 hours, without an observed increase in adverse maternal or neonatal outcomes. Vaginal delivery was most frequent among patients who received papaverine before rupture of membranes; however, this exploratory finding requires prospective confirmation.

- Determining a Treatment Regimen With Optimal Pregnancy Outcomes in Patients With Chronic Endometritis: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: Current evidence from this network meta-analysis does not demonstrate that any single antibiotic regimen significantly improves live birth rates in women with CE. While secondary outcome analyses suggest potential benefits of combining antibiotics with prednisone or specific dual-antibiotic regimens for clinical and ongoing pregnancy rates, these exploratory findings require cautious interpretation and validation through large-scale RCTs.

- Listeria monocytogenes septicemia and fetal maceration in long-tailed chinchillas (Chinchilla laniger) in Argentina. [Case Reports]
- Listeria monocytogenes is a zoonotic bacterium widely distributed in the environment and capable of infecting a broad range of animal species, including humans, usually as a food-borne disease. Although listeriosis is well recognized across multiple hosts, information in small mammals such as rodents and lagomorphs remains comparatively limited, with most reports describing sporadic systemic dise…

- Clinical efficacy and pregnancy outcomes of doxycycline plus medroxyprogesterone acetate therapy for chronic endometritis in women with recurrent reproductive failure: a prospective cohort study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Doxycycline plus MPA did not significantly improve the CE cure rate in women with RRF and CE, but was associated with a higher pregnancy rate without an increase in adverse events.

- Impact of hysteroscopy on pregnancy outcomes in women with endometriosis-associated infertility undergoing their first frozen-thawed embryo transfer: a retrospective cohort study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Intrauterine lesions, particularly endometrial polyps and chronic endometritis, are highly prevalent in endometriosis-related infertility. Hysteroscopic surgery before the first FET was associated with a higher clinical pregnancy rate. Given the high lesion prevalence, hysteroscopic evaluation before the first FET may be considered in these patients.

- Heat shock transcription factor-1 and heat shock protein 90: insights into post-insemination endometritis. [Journal Article]Reprod Fertil Dev. 2026 Oct 15; 38(15).RF
- CONCLUSIONS: Changes in HSP90 and HSF-1 expression in endometrium after AI are associated with endometrial inflammation. Their presence in the cytoplasm and nucleus (luminal and glandular epithelial cells, fibroblasts, leucocytes) suggests roles in cytosolic protein interactions and DNA regulation. Their expression in luminal and glandular epithelium, and in stromal cells, suggests roles in the regulation of endometrial repair and remodelling.

- Endometrial receptivity failure in assisted reproduction: immune-cellular niches, mechanistic evidence, and translational boundaries. [Review]
- Endometrial receptivity failure and recurrent implantation failure (RIF) are clinically heterogeneous outcomes shaped by embryo competence, uterine anatomy, endocrine support, immune adaptation, and the timing of embryo-endometrial synchrony. This Review focuses on how immune-cellular niches, cell-specific and spatiotemporal mechanisms, disease-modified receptivity states, and evidence-to-transla…

- Chronic endometritis-Plasmacytes, B cells, and the third-party pulling strings behind the scenes: commentary on Yang L. et al. An endometrial immune atlas across the female menstrual cycle reveals lymphoid aggregates compromise pregnancy. Nat. Commun. https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-026-76937-y. [Journal Article]Mol Immunol. 2026 Oct 05; 199:170-171. [Online ahead of print]MI
- The study by Yang et al. (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-026-76937-y) redefines chronic endometritis as an immunopathological mess driven not only by endometrial stromal plasmacytes and B cells but also by the 'bad company' of co-infiltrating follicular helper T-like cell subsets. These three aberrant local immunocompetent cell types in chronic endometritis might work hand in glove, potentially d…

- Platelet-rich plasma exhibits antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects in an in vitro donkey endometritis model. [Journal Article]Equine Vet J. 2026 Oct 04. [Online ahead of print]EV
- CONCLUSIONS: The antibacterial efficacy of PRP depends on concentration, duration, and pathogen type, with PRP showing greater inhibitory effects against SEZ than E. coli. Application strategies should be tailored to the type of infectious endometritis to maximise the effect of PRP.

- Mechanisms by Which the Cervicovaginal Microbiota Mediates Endometrial Repair Following Uterine Injury: A Review of Recent Advances. [Review]
- CONCLUSIONS: The cervicovaginal microbiota is an important regulator of post-injury endometrial repair. Microbiota-targeted interventions represent a promising therapeutic direction, though current evidence remains largely observational and further high-quality clinical trials are needed.

- Inflammatory intensity and stimulus type induce distinct miRNA regulatory programs in bovine endometrial epithelial cells. [Journal Article]Theriogenology. 2026 Sep 24; 268:118203. [Online ahead of print]T
- Endometrial immune homeostasis is essential for uterine recovery and fertility in postpartum dairy cows, whereas dysregulated inflammation can lead to cytological endometritis (CE) and impaired reproductive performance. Although microRNAs (miRNAs) regulate inflammatory responses, how inflammatory intensity and origin shape miRNA programs in the bovine endometrium remains unclear. In this study, b…

- Pre-Weaning Administration of a PGF2α Analogue (Cloprostenol) and Its Influence on Early Reproductive Indicators in Sows Under Commercial Farm Conditions. [Journal Article]
- Efficient reproductive management in commercial swine production requires minimising non-productive days and ensuring rapid return to oestrus after weaning. The present study evaluated the effect of pre-weaning administration of cloprostenol, a PGF2α analogue, on early reproductive indicators in sows under commercial farm conditions. A total of 734 clinically healthy multiparous sows (parity 2-9)…

- Insight Into the Complex Dynamics of Diverse Endometrial Microbial Communities in Dairy Cows During the Transition Period: Normal Condition Versus Pathology. [Journal Article]Front Biosci (Elite Ed). 2026 Sep 15; 18(3):46742.FB
- CONCLUSIONS: During the transition period, the endometrial microbiome on both farms underwent macroecological changes associated with the state of reproductive health and temporal fluctuations in microbiota abundances. The results of the study can be used to develop strategies for the prevention and treatment of postpartum endometritis in cows.
