- Corifollitropin alfa versus daily recombinant FSH for ovarian stimulation in women of advanced maternal age: a cost-minimization analysis in an out-of-pocket setting. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: CFA was associated with substantial pharmacological cost savings of more than 50% when compared to follitropin alfa or follitropin beta, assuming that a single injection of CFA 150 µg is equipotent to daily injections of rFSH 300 IU for the first 7 days of COS. Although further real-world studies are needed to validate and expand on these findings, this analysis provides meaningful evidence to support patient-centered decision-making and healthcare planning in resource-constrained settings.

- The two-shot protocol. A randomized controlled trial of a novel two-injection ovarian stimulation strategy. [Journal Article]Hum Reprod. 2026 Sep 25. [Online ahead of print]HR
- CONCLUSIONS: Although the mean number of MII oocytes did not differ significantly between the two-shot protocol and the control group, non-inferiority was not statistically met.The current study focused only in elective fertility preservation women, preventing conclusions on embryological differences between the protocols. Furthermore, since the sample size was powered to detect differences in the number of MII oocytes, findings for secondary outcomes, such as the hormonal profile, should be interpreted with caution. The two-shot protocol yielded a comparable number of MII oocytes to conventional stimulation; however, the pre-specified non-inferiority margin was not met, as the CI could not exclude a true reduction exceeding 1.5 MII oocytes. The point estimate of approximately one fewer MII oocyte is unlikely to be clinically meaningful, but larger studies are required before the protocol can be formally established as non-inferior.

- Restoration of spermatogenesis in a male with prolactinoma-induced hypogonadotropic hypogonadism using follitropin delta and recombinant choriogonadotropin alfa: a case report. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: This case provides the first evidence that follitropin delta can successfully replace conventional FSH preparations in male gonadotropin stimulation protocols. Spermatogenesis was restored within a favorable timeframe, enabling access to assisted reproductive technology (IVF/ICSI). Nevertheless, these findings are limited to a single case report and require confirmation in larger studies.

- Specificity of polyclonal oligopeptide antisera targeting glycoprotein hormones from the Japanese Eel (Anguilla japonica). [Journal Article]
- Glycoprotein hormones, including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), play essential roles in the reproductive endocrinology of teleosts. However, research on these hormones in non-model species such as the Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica) has been constrained by the lack of specific immunological detection tools. Recombinant A. japo…

- Human chorionic gonadotropin alpha and beta levels are associated with maternal demographic characteristics and psychosocial measures of stress and discrimination. [Journal Article]Psychoneuroendocrinology. 2026 Jun; 188:107847.P
- CONCLUSIONS: An hCG-subunit specific pattern of association was described with maternal social and psychosocial experience in early pregnancy. More work is needed to understand these differences and their applicability to interventions to reduce stress and its long-term impacts on maternal and child health.

- Influence of corifollitropin alfa on embryo morphokinetics and fertility treatment outcome. [Journal Article]Front Reprod Health. 2026; 8:1787644.FR
- CONCLUSIONS: Controlled ovarian stimulation with CFA does not appear to affect early embryo morphokinetics as assessed by time-lapse imaging. Despite differences in baseline patient characteristics, CFA was associated with comparable embryo developmental dynamics and live birth outcomes compared with daily follitropin β stimulation. These findings suggest that CFA may represent an alternative COS strategy in routine clinical practice without apparent detrimental effects on early embryo development; however, they should be interpreted with caution due to the observational design.

- In assisted reproductive technology (ART), controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COS) plays an important role in guiding treatment progress and determining success. Many ovulation-inducing agents are used in this process, including human menopausal gonadotropin (HMG), recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (r-FSH), recombinant luteinizing hormone (r-hLH), urinary human chorionic gonadotropin (u-…

- New biomarkers for the detection of fetal death derived from large-scale proteomic analysis of maternal plasma. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that new maternal plasma proteins improve the discrimination of fetal death from controls relative to known biomarkers and that, although the signatures of fetal death and of preeclampsia are correlated, fetal death not only represents a much heightened disease state but also involves distinct perturbed pathways. Future studies are needed to determine whether the biomarkers can predict fetal death.

- Cost-Effectiveness of Follitropin Delta Compared with Follitropins Alfa and Beta in Controlled Ovarian Stimulation for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in France. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Follitropin delta provides an effective alternative to follitropin alfa and beta with a potential cost-savings opportunity, excluding the delivery cost, due to higher OP and LB rates in the fresh cycle transfers.

- First insight into the regulatory role of the glycoprotein hormones GPA2 and GPB5 in the small-spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula L.) during spermiogenesis. [Journal Article]J Proteomics. 2026 May 30; 327:105627.JP
- Glycoprotein hormones alpha 2 (GPA2) and beta 5 (GPB5) are considered to be ancestral members of the glycoprotein hormone (GPH) family. Despite their potential roles in regulating thyroxine production, the immune response, and ovarian function, their roles in the testis remains largely unknown. To further explore this regulation, catshark testicular explants containing late spermatid stages were …

- CONCLUSIONS: Folisurge was comparable to Gonal-f in terms of serum β-hCG positive rate. The higher yield of oocytes and embryos in the Folisurge group should be interpreted in the context of its higher baseline AFC, which may have influenced these results. No major safety concerns were observed.
