- Peripheral Blood Immunogenomic Cytokine-receptor Signature (CXCR1, IL11RA, IL13RA2, CD19) Predicts HBV-related Cirrhosis: Public PBMC Transcriptome Mining and Nomogram Development. [Journal Article]Iran J Allergy Asthma Immunol. 2026 Aug 10; 25(5):757-771.IJ
- Progression from chronic hepatitis B (CHB) to cirrhosis is closely associated with immune dysregulation and altered cytokine signaling, yet effective noninvasive immune biomarkers remain limited. This study aimed to develop a peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC)-based cytokine gene signature for predicting HBV-related cirrhosis. The GSE114783 microarray dataset was analyzed to identify differ…

- Circulating Interleukin-11 Across Allergic and Non-Allergic Airway Disease Phenotypes: A Single-Center Exploratory Study. [Journal Article]
- Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is implicated in epithelial dysfunction, fibroblast activation, tissue remodeling, and chronic inflammatory responses; however, the clinical value of circulating IL-11 in airway disease remains uncertain. This single-center retrospective exploratory observational study included 88 adults: 31 with allergic rhinitis, 15 with non-allergic asthma, 22 with allergic asthma associ…

- Interleukin-11 Signaling in Liver Disease: Mechanisms, Cellular Crosstalk, and Therapeutic Potential. [Review]
- The liver has a remarkable regenerative capacity, but persistent injury caused by drugs, metabolic dysfunction, alcohol, and chronic inflammation can overwhelm this process and promote fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Interleukin-11 (IL-11), a cytokine that signals through glycoprotein 130 (gp130), was historically considered hepatoprotective; however, accumulating experimental evidence pre…

- The roles of the STAT3 signaling pathway in the establishment of endometrial receptivity and decidualization. [Journal Article]Biol Reprod. 2026 Sep 22. [Online ahead of print]BR
- The establishment of endometrial receptivity is a fundamental prerequisite for successful embryo implantation and the maintenance of pregnancy. Decidualization, a critical process in the maturation of endometrial receptivity, is intimately linked to implantation success. The precise molecular regulation of both processes is essential for normal pregnancy outcomes. Within the endometrium, the acti…

- IL-11 drives Treg cell differentiation by activating the MBD3/APOH-mediated fatty acid oxidation axis to promote hepatocellular carcinoma. [Journal Article]Chin Med J (Engl). 2026 Sep 17. [Online ahead of print]CM
- CONCLUSIONS: We have identified a novel IL-11/MBD3/APOH/FAO regulatory axis that promotes HCC progression by enhancing Treg cell differentiation and establishing an immunosuppressive microenvironment. These results nominate IL-11 as a promising therapeutic target for HCC immunotherapy and shed new light on the metabolic basis of immune evasion in liver cancer.

- PLL-g-HPA Hydrogel Microneedles Loaded With Rhoifolin Target Macrophages to Alleviate Fibroblast Senescence for Diabetic Wound Healing. [Journal Article]Adv Healthc Mater. 2026 Sep 16; :e71700. [Online ahead of print]AH
- In this study, we demonstrate that during diabetic wound healing, interleukin-11 (IL-11) promotes the M1 polarization of macrophages, which subsequently triggers fibroblast senescence through the enhanced release of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-6. Notably, Rhoifolin (Rho) effectively inhibits IL-11-induced M1 polarization, alleviates the secretion of IL-1β and IL-6, and concurrently pr…

- IL-1β as an important mediator of macrophage-chondrocyte crosstalk in pararamosis (rainforest arthritis). [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Our findings demonstrate that PsE promotes a sustained pro-inflammatory macrophage response and establishes a pathogenic crosstalk between macrophages and chondrocytes that amplifies inflammatory and catabolic signaling. The data identify IL-1β as a major regulator of this interaction and support the involvement of inflammasome-related pathways in the response to PsE. These results advance our understanding of the mechanisms underlying pararamosis and reveal biological features shared with osteoarthritis, providing a foundation for future studies aimed at validating the role of IL-1β and other inflammatory mediators in vivo.

- miR-204-5p attenuates inflammatory infiltration in early-stage chronic renal allograft dysfunction by modulating the IL-11/ERK1/2-NF-κB axis. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: miR-204-5p attenuates early inflammatory injury in CRAD by directly targeting IL-11 and suppressing IL-11-associated ERK1/2-NF-κB inflammatory signaling. The miR-204-5p/IL-11 axis may represent a potential regulatory pathway and therapeutic target for early inflammatory injury in CRAD.

- EGR1 regulates IGF-1-stimulated pancreatic cancer cell invasion by increasing IL-11 expression. [Journal Article]
- Interleukin-11 (IL-11), a member of the glycoprotein-130 cytokine family, has been implicated in inflammation-associated malignancies, including pancreatic cancer, where both IL-11 and its receptors are frequently overexpressed; however, the transcriptional mechanisms that regulate IL-11 expression remain unclear. To investigate this mechanism, promoter reporter assays, electrophoretic mobility s…
