  • Rapid Clearance of Lichen Planus With Topical Tapinarof. [Case Reports]
J Drugs Dermatol. 2026 Apr 01; 25(4):381-383.Noble OR, Pierce ENJD
  • CONCLUSIONS: To our knowledge, this is the first report in the literature showing successful treatment of LP with tapinarof. Further studies are required to determine if tapinarof is beneficial for the treatment of lichenoid diseases such as LP, lichen planopilaris, and others. &nbsp.
  • Ethylene produced in carpel primordia controls CmHB40 expression to inhibit stamen development. [Journal Article]
Nat Plants. 2023 Oct; 9(10):1675-1687.Rashid D, Devani RS, … Bendahmane ANP
  • Sex determination evolved to control the development of unisexual flowers. In agriculture, it conditions how plants are cultivated and bred. We investigated how female flowers develop in monoecious cucurbits. We discovered in melon, Cucumis melo, a mechanism in which ethylene produced in the carpel is perceived in the stamen primordia through spatially differentially expressed ethylene receptors.…
  • DrugRep-KG: Toward Learning a Unified Latent Space for Drug Repurposing Using Knowledge Graphs. [Journal Article]
    J Chem Inf Model. 2023 Apr 24; 63(8):2532-2545.Ghorbanali Z, Zare-Mirakabad F, … Masoudi-Nejad AJC
  • Drug repurposing or repositioning (DR) refers to finding new therapeutic applications for existing drugs. Current computational DR methods face data representation and negative data sampling challenges. Although retrospective studies attempt to operate various representations, it is a crucial step for an accurate prediction to aggregate these features and bring the associations between drugs and …
  • Post-Pemphigus Acanthomata Presenting as an Isolated, Hyperkeratotic Plaque. [Case Reports]
    Dermatopathology (Basel). 2023 Feb 13; 10(1):86-90.Pandya R, Zhou Y, … Elsensohn AD
  • Post-pemphigus acanthomas have been rarely discussed in the literature. A prior case series identified 47 cases of pemphigus vulgaris and 5 cases of pemphigus foliaceus, out of which 13 developed acanthomata as a part of the healing process. Additionally, a case report by Ohashi et al. reported similar recalcitrant lesions on the trunk of a patient with pemphigus foliaceus being treated with pred…
  • Reevaluating Corticosteroid Classification Models in Patient Patch Testing. [Journal Article]
JAMA Dermatol. 2022 Nov 01; 158(11):1279-1286.Chen JY, Yiannias JA, … Yang YWJD
  • CONCLUSIONS: In this qualitative study, copositivity rates were variable between corticosteroids, and overall patch test positivity for allergy to topical corticosteroids was rare. Previously published corticosteroid classifications are not supported by real patient-derived data and may not be accurate in predicting corticosteroid copositivity.
  • Drugs and Lactation Database (LactMed): Fluocinonide [BOOK]
Drugs and Lactation Database (LactMed). National Library of Medicine (US): Bethesda (MD).BOOK
  • Fluocinonide has not been studied during breastfeeding. Since only extensive application of the most potent corticosteroids may cause systemic effects in the mother, it is unlikely that short-term application of topical corticosteroids would pose a risk to the breastfed infant by passage into breastmilk. However, it would be prudent to use the least potent drug on the smallest area of skin possib…
