  • Poisoning by acetaminophen is a serious public health concern because of its accessibility and the ease with which overdoses can occur accidentally or on purpose. The liver metabolizes acetaminophen, and when taken in excess, it is transformed into a poisonous metabolite that seriously damages the liver and may result in hepatic failure and death. The cornerstone of treatment is the early adminis…

  • Enhanced liver regeneration via targeted mRNA delivery for partial in vivo reprogramming. [Journal Article]

  • Recent studies indicate that injury-induced dedifferentiation generates transient regenerative progenitors (TRPs), which support tissue repair across multiple organs, including the liver. In vivo partial reprogramming using Yamanaka factors (Oct4, Sox2, Klf4, and c-Myc; OSKM) produces intestinal TRPs closely resembling those arising from injury-induced dedifferentiation, but transgenic or viral a…
  • Pain management in chronic limb-threatening ischaemia: a multi-centre cross-sectional study. [Journal Article]
    Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1876171.Mi H, Cao K, … Liu ZFM
  • CONCLUSIONS: Pain management among hospitalised CLTI patients in this Chinese cohort is frequently suboptimal. The high prevalence of uncontrolled pain, low utilisation of strong opioids, and marked functional impairment point to an opportunity for quality improvement for improved practice. Given the single-time-point nature of this assessment, these findings highlight a critical gap in initial symptom control. Development of China-specific clinical guidelines, wider adoption of nursing-led pain assessment, and better access to analgesics in county hospitals should be prioritised. Future clinical trials of multimodal strategies for ischaemic pain are also warranted.
