- Clinical Utility of Liquid Comprehensive Genomic Profiling in Advanced Lung Adenocarcinoma Complicated by Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation: A Case Report. [Case Reports]Cureus. 2026 Sep; 18(9):e115692.C
- Comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) is increasingly important for identifying actionable driver mutations and selecting targeted therapies in advanced lung adenocarcinoma, particularly when tissue re-biopsy is precluded by severe complications. A 74-year-old woman with no history of smoking presented with hemoptysis and abnormal findings on chest imaging. She was diagnosed with lung adenocarcin…

- Tumor-to-tumor metastasis of small cell carcinoma of presumed pulmonary origin to a sphenoid ridge meningioma: A diagnostic pitfall in preoperative systemic evaluation. [Case Reports]Surg Neurol Int. 2026; 17:525.SN
- CONCLUSIONS: In older smokers with abnormal chest radiograph and atypical meningioma-like lesions, systemic malignancy should be evaluated before resection. When surgery is necessary, the operative goal should prioritize tissue diagnosis and decompression.

- Rapid microwave-assisted synthesis of ZnMn dual-atom nanozymes for cancer catalytic immunotherapy. [Journal Article]Biomaterials. 2026 Sep 30; 338(Pt A):124673. [Online ahead of print]B
- Catalytic nanomedicines face a persistent trade-off between structurally defined active sites and rapid synthesis. A microwave-assisted salt-flux conversion is developed that transforms a bimetallic metal-organic framework precursor within 3 min into nitrogen-doped carbon-supported ZnMn dual-atom nanozymes (ZnMn DAzymes). Aberration-corrected HAADF-STEM and dual-edge X-ray absorption fine structu…

- How safe and effective is radiosurgical treatment for patients with 10 or more brain metastases? [Journal Article]Neurooncol Adv. 2026 Jan-Dec; 8(1):vdag229.NA
- CONCLUSIONS: In addition to BM count, multiple factors may influence survival and should be considered during the pre-radiosurgery assessment. GKRS represents a safe and effective first-line treatment method even for patients with ≥10 BM, particularly in the era of modern systemic therapies.

- Dual-glycolipid engineered vaccine platform empowers delivery route customization to intercept tumor lung metastasis. [Journal Article]J Control Release. 2026 Oct 02; :115429. [Online ahead of print]JC
- Pulmonary metastasis remains a lethal challenge, necessitating potent mRNA vaccines to establish proactive immune surveillance. Although lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are the gold standard for delivery mRNA, the "PEG dilemma"-comprising immunogenicity and poor cellular engagement-critically limits their efficacy. Here, we developed a biocompatibility, PEG-free mRNA platform (SG-LNP) co-modified with…

- Pulmonary cryptococcosis mimicking metastatic progression despite systemic disease stability in advanced colon cancer: A case report and literature review. [Case Reports]Medicine (Baltimore). 2026 Oct 02; 105(40):e50959.M
- CONCLUSIONS: When new pulmonary lesions arise despite stability or response at established tumor sites, apparent radiologic progression should not automatically be equated with oncologic progression. Integrating the longitudinal treatment response, tumor marker trends, clinical symptoms, imaging features, and targeted infectious testing can prevent unnecessary changes in cancer therapy and may avoid invasive procedures when a sufficiently supported alternative diagnosis is available.

- An immunocompetent, multifluorescent resource for real-time analysis of osteosarcoma progression, metastasis, and response to therapy. [Journal Article]
- Despite substantial treatment improvements, the 5-year survival rate for metastatic osteosarcoma (OS) is still as low as 20%. Immunocompetent genetic mouse models of OS have been introduced, enabling in vivo OS studies. Here, we present the ROCCIA mouse, a quintuple-mutant extension of these models that develops multifluorescent OS tumors, allowing distinct fluorescently labeled OS cell populatio…

- Severe Dermatologic Toxicity During Amivantamab-Lazertinib Treatment in Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR)-Mutated Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. [Case Reports]
- Amivantamab is an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and mesenchymal-epithelial transition (MET) antibody. Lazertinib is an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor with central nervous system penetration. Used in combination, this targeted therapy is effective in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, it has been associated with severe dermatologic adverse reactions. A 61-year-old woma…

- Site-Specific Patterns of Distant Relapse on ^18F-FDG PET/Contrast-Enhanced CT According to Molecular Subtype in Breast Cancer: A Retrospective Cohort Study. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: PET/ceCT disclosed non-random and biologically meaningful patterns of distant relapse in breast cancer. Bone-dominant relapse was the prevailing phenotype overall and was significantly associated with luminal disease, whereas non-luminal tumors showed relatively more visceral and multisite dissemination.

[Journal Article]
- Immunotherapy in combination with chemotherapy has been recommended as the first-line treatment of driver gene-negative advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), but the efficacy is reduced in NSCLC patients with bone metastases due to the immunosuppressive microenvironment. Both nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL) inhibitors and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) have been shown to …

- IntroductionLymph node (LN) metastasis of lung adenocarcinoma, particularly occult lymph node metastasis (OLNM), remains difficult to predict using conventional imaging and basic positional parameters, adversely affecting prognosis. This study aimed to: (1) evaluate a new CT index (a/A + b/B) for predicting OLNM in cN0 patients, and (2) create and validate a nomogram for predicting LN metastasis …
