  • A Meiotic B-type Cyclin Selectively Drives Mitotic Progression and Fidelity in Cancer Cells. [Journal Article]

  • Cell cycle transitions are driven by cyclins in complex with cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK). Here, we demonstrate that cyclin B3, an evolutionarily divergent B-type cyclin previously thought to function exclusively in female meiosis, is expressed in mitotic cells and interacts with both CDK1 and CDK2. We show that cyclin B3-CDK1/2 is essential for timely mitotic progression by ensuring proper chr…
  • What Is the Natural History and Likelihood of Progression of Indeterminate Pulmonary Nodules in Patients With Extremity Osteosarcoma? [Journal Article]
Clin Orthop Relat Res. 2026 Oct 09. [Online ahead of print]Suthar S, Krishnan CK, … Raja ACO
  • CONCLUSIONS: Our study showed an association with indeterminate pulmonary nodules and survival and suggests that patients who present with indeterminate pulmonary nodules have worse overall survival than those who do not. No individual nodule characteristic was associated with disease progression in our cohort, but we cannot exclude the possibility that with more numbers, an association might be present. Our study suggests that vigilant surveillance is warranted for patients with indeterminate pulmonary nodules until prospective studies with more patients are conducted to better develop evidence-based management and surveillance protocols.
  • [Expression of Concern] Gambogic acid inhibits invasion of osteosarcoma via upregulation of TIMP‑1. [Journal Article]
Int J Mol Med. 2026 Dec; 58(6).Xin ZF, Shen CC, … Wu HBIJ
  • Following the publication of this paper, it was drawn to the Editor's attention by a concerned reader that, regarding the cell invasion assay data shown in Figs. 2A and 5A on p. 107 and p. 100 respectively, the '0 µM gambogic acid (GA)' data panel in Fig. 2A (upper left panel) contained overlapping sections of data with the 'SiRNA TIMP‑1' and the 'SiRNA + GA (1 µM)' data panels in Fig. 5A; furthe…
  • DNA2 nuclease inactivation induces DNA damage through a potential protein trapping mechanism. [Journal Article]

  • DNA2 is a combined nuclease and helicase that processes long 5' flaps and other structures that occur during DNA replication and repair. Current models invoke an essential function of DNA2 in processing stalled replication forks to dampen toxic recombination based restart. As an essential replication stress response factor, DNA2 has been proposed as an anti-cancer drug target with several tool co…
