- Postoperative D-dimer-based Screening for Venous Thromboembolism after Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Retrospective Cohort Study of 1,651 Hips. [Journal Article]JMA J. 2026 Sep 15; 9(5):1280-1286.JJ
- CONCLUSIONS: A postoperative D-dimer-based screening strategy incorporating contrast-enhanced CT for patients with D-dimer levels ≥10.0 μg/mL at 1 week after THA appeared to be feasible and clinically acceptable, with no severe thromboembolic events observed in this cohort of 1,651 hips. However, further studies are warranted to determine the optimal cutoff value for postoperative D-dimer screening.

- Policy cognition, perceived stress, coping dimensions, and adolescent health behaviors under physical education examination reform: a cross-sectional SEM study. [Journal Article]Front Psychol. 2026; 17:1896758.FP
- CONCLUSIONS: Perceived stress and task-oriented coping were the most consistent cross-sectional correlates of the documented health-behavior outcomes. The results are associational and do not establish temporal ordering, causal mediation, or intervention effectiveness.

- Genome edited sheep generated by zygote electroporation of prime editor ribonucleoproteins. [Journal Article]Front Genome Ed. 2026; 8:1931608.FG
- Prime editing (PE) enables precise genome modifications without double-strand breaks, yet its application in large mammals has been hindered by low efficiency and the technical bottlenecks of zygote microinjection. This study aimed to establish a scalable PE platform in sheep via the direct electroporation of a PE3 RNP formulation comprising PE2 protein, an epegRNA, and a nicking sgRNA into zygot…

- Methylmalonic Acid Induces Oxaliplatin Resistance Through Promoting DNA Damage Repair via the ATM/ATR Pathway in Gastric Cancer. [Journal Article]FASEB J. 2026 Oct 15; 40(19):e72332.FJ
- Surgical intervention and chemotherapy have enhanced the survival rates of patients with advanced gastric cancer. However, the development of chemotherapy resistance remains a major obstacle to effective treatment, leading to poor prognosis in these patients. Increasing evidence suggests that metabolic alterations play crucial roles in mediating chemoresistance. Here we investigate the effects of…

- First-trimester aspirin allocation strategies and preterm preeclampsia in women with pregestational diabetes: A national multicenter observational cohort study. [Journal Article]Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand. 2026 Oct 06. [Online ahead of print]AO
- CONCLUSIONS: In women with PGDM, algorithm-based aspirin allocation strategies were associated with substantially lower aspirin exposure without evidence of increased preterm PE or adverse perinatal outcomes compared with clinical risk factor-based prophylaxis. However, given the observational design, baseline differences, and limited number of events, the study was not powered to demonstrate equivalence or exclude smaller clinically relevant differences. These findings should therefore be considered exploratory and require confirmation in adequately powered prospective studies.

- Essential oil from Piper aduncum L. leaves exhibits analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity in mice. [Journal Article]Inflammopharmacology. 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]I
- Piper aduncum L. is a medicinal plant whose essential oil is rich in bioactive constituents, particularly dilapiol, and has attracted interest because of its diverse pharmacological properties. However, its anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and antinociceptive activities and the mechanisms potentially underlying these effects remain insufficiently characterized. Therefore, this study investigated t…

- Transcriptomic analysis identifies immune-related clusters and PPP2R1A as a candidate gene associated with venous thromboembolism recurrence. [Journal Article]Arch Pharm Res. 2026 Oct 07. [Online ahead of print]AP
- Venous thromboembolic disease (VTE), encompassing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), is associated with substantial morbidity, mortality, and recurrence risk. However, immune-related transcriptomic heterogeneity and recurrence-associated molecular features in VTE remain incompletely defined. This study aimed to explore immune-related transcriptomic clusters associated with VT…

- Targeting mitochondrial morphofunctional homeostasis and oxidative stress: Iristectorigenin A protects against cardiac remodeling via SIRT6/FOXO1 signaling. [Journal Article]Acta Pharmacol Sin. 2026 Oct 06. [Online ahead of print]AP
- Myocardial remodeling, an essential pathological development in cardiovascular disease, is largely determined by disruptions in redox homeostasis and mitochondrial bioenergetic function. Iristectorigenin A (ITG), a naturally occurring isoflavone, exhibits a variety of pharmacological effects, including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. While so many protective effects, its specific ef…

- Quality in Lung Cancer Surgery: A Structure-Process-Outcome Perspective. [Review]Thorac Surg Clin. 2026 Nov; 36(4):473-479.TS
- Lung cancer surgery has evolved substantially, but safety alone does not define quality. Using the Avedis Donabedian model, quality encompasses structure, process, and outcomes. Structural factors include surgeon specialization, institutional volume, and multidisciplinary care. Process indicators involve guideline-concordant staging, systematic lymphadenectomy, and complete resection; inadequate …
