  • Biomarker and Bioorthogonality Dual-Locked Chemiluminescent Probes for Cancer Urine Test. [Journal Article]
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2026 Oct 10; :e6875075. [Online ahead of print]Lin Y, Yuan Z, … Pu KAC
  • Bioorthogonality-activatable optical imaging activates caged or quenched probes via bioorthogonal reactions for disease diagnosis. Although chemiluminescence enables low-background detection, it has rarely been applied to bioorthogonality-activatable imaging. Here, we synthesize chemiluminescent tetrazine probes (CLTZs) by coupling a tetrazine acceptor to a phenoxy-1,2-dioxetane donor through π-c…
  • Controlled Hydrogen Delivery by Single-Atom Ru Accelerates Electrocatalytic Ammonia Synthesis. [Journal Article]
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2026 Oct 10; :e3369650. [Online ahead of print]Liu Z, Li X, … Zhang DAC
  • Electrocatalytic nitric oxide reduction to ammonia (NORR) offers a dual opportunity for NO remediation and decentralized NH3 production, yet its efficiency is often limited by competing pathways and unclear structure-function relationships. Here we introduce a reactant-shunting strategy that installs a guiding electrocatalytic step via isolated Ru atoms to supply surface-bound [*]H species and en…
  • Stabilizing Functional Nucleic Acids for Real-Sample Diagnostics. [Review]
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2026 Oct 10; :e1386648. [Online ahead of print]Lee S, Dondi L, … Li YAC
  • Functional nucleic acids (FNAs), including aptamers and DNAzymes, offer programmable recognition and catalysis for biosensing, but their performance in real samples is often compromised by nuclease degradation, matrix effects, and interface-associated losses. For diagnostic translation, stability must, therefore, be defined not only as strand persistence, but as retained folding, binding, catalys…
  • Persistent Mn[3+] Sites on Reduced MnO Enable Efficient Syngas Conversion. [Journal Article]
Angew Chem Int Ed Engl. 2026 Oct 10; :e7371024. [Online ahead of print]Zhang C, Kong X, … Zhu YAC
  • Mn-based materials are widely used for syngas conversion, where MnO is generally regarded as the catalytically active phase under reducing conditions. Yet catalysts derived from different Mn oxide precursors often exhibit markedly different performances despite evolving into the same MnO bulk structure during reaction. Here we show that trace Mn[3+] sites stabilized on oxygen-deficient MnO surfac…
  • Optimizing management strategies for T4b esophageal cancer: the role of TEVAR in multimodal treatment approaches. [Review]
    Scand J Gastroenterol. 2026 Oct 10; :1-7. [Online ahead of print]Koliakos N, Tzortzis AS, … Schizas DSJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: TEVAR may represent a useful adjunct in the multimodal management of selected patients with T4b esophageal cancer and aortic involvement. In carefully selected patients, elective TEVAR may reduce the risk of catastrophic hemorrhage and facilitate subsequent curative-intent treatment, including conversion esophagectomy, although prospective evidence defining its optimal indications and timing remains lacking.
  • Physiological Arousal and Its Effects on Time Perception: A Systematic Review. [Systematic Review]
Wiley Interdiscip Rev Cogn Sci. 2026 Sep-Oct; 17(5):e70041.Micillo L, Cellini N, Mioni GWI
  • Time perception is a fundamental aspect of human cognition, influencing motor coordination, decision-making, and planning. Unlike sensory modalities such as vision or hearing, which rely on dedicated sensory organs, the perception of time lacks a specific neural substrate, making it highly dependent on internal physiological and psychological states. Research suggests that physiological arousal p…
  • Development of the ECMO nursing self-efficacy Perception scale: A validity and reliability study. [Journal Article]
    Perfusion. 2026 Oct 10; :2676591261496709. [Online ahead of print]Güler S, Savas H, … Karakaya İP
  • Caring for patients receiving ECMO in the ICU is a complex process that requires advanced knowledge, technical skills, and confident clinical decision-making from nurses. Despite the increasing use of ECMO in Türkiye, no comprehensive, validated tool exists to measure ICU nurses' self-efficacy in ECMO care. This methodological study aimed to develop the ECMO Nursing Self-Efficacy Perception Scale…
  • Perioperative Hospital-at-Home Program: A Scoping Review. [Review]
World J Surg. 2026 Oct 10. [Online ahead of print]Chua CE, Low SY, … Ko SQWJ
  • CONCLUSIONS: Perioperative HaH shows promise as a rapidly evolving model of perioperative care, but the current evidence base is limited by small, largely noncomparative studies and a lack of standardized outcome measures. This is the first scoping review to systematically map perioperative-specific HaH models across pre- and postoperative phases and surgical specialties. Strengthening the quality of evidence is essential to inform policy, guide best practices, and support the safe and scalable adoption of perioperative HaH programs.
  • From oncogenesis to approval: the lentiviral gene therapy revolution in Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome. [Review]
    Regen Med. 2026 Oct 10; :1-10. [Online ahead of print]Karimizadeh Z, Kalantari A, … Hamidieh AARM
  • Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS) is an X-linked primary immunodeficiency caused by pathogenic variants in the WAS gene, resulting in absent or dysfunctional WAS protein (WASp) and a clinical triad of eczema, recurrent infections, and micro-thrombocytopenia. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation has historically represented the only curative option, but outcomes are constrained by donor…
