- KAT6B::KANSL1 fusion-positive uterine mesenchymal neoplasm with hybrid endometrial stromal and smooth muscle features: a case report. [Case Reports]Front Med (Lausanne). 2026; 13:1859849.FM
- KAT6B/A::KANSL1 fusion-positive uterine mesenchymal neoplasms are rare and may show overlapping endometrial stromal and smooth muscle features. We report a 47-year-old woman with regular menses, no dysmenorrhea, and a 7-year history of a presumed uterine fibroid. She underwent laparoscopic myomectomy at an outside hospital in November 2024. The fragmented specimen was interpreted as an endometria…

- Inhibition of The Sphingosine-1-Phosphate Receptor 1 (S1PR1) as a Therapeutic Target for Aromatase Inhibitor-Induced Musculoskeletal Symptoms in Mice. [Journal Article]Neuropharmacology. 2026 Oct 27; :111239. [Online ahead of print]N
- Breast cancer (BC) is the leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide with estrogen receptor positive (ER+) BC comprising 70-80% of all cases. Adjuvant therapy with aromatase inhibitors (AIs), such as letrozole (LTZ), is the standard of care in ER+ BC patients to prevent recurrence but many patients cease treatment prematurely due to the development of musculoskeletal side effects (i.e. a…

- Role of Extrachromosomal Circular DNA in Sex Reversal of Monopterus albus. [Journal Article]Biomolecules. 2026 Oct 12; 16(10).B
- Extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) serves as a vital regulator of gene expression and phenotypic plasticity. The Monopterus albus is a protogynous hermaphroditic fish, and the functional role of eccDNA during its female-to-male sex reversal remains poorly understood. We conducted Circle-seq analysis on gonadal tissues of super-female and male individuals and integrated our findings with previ…

- Fertility Preservation in Oncology Patients: A Comparative Study of Outcomes and Embryo Disposition Preferences. [Journal Article]JBRA Assist Reprod. 2026 Oct 26. [Online ahead of print]JA
- CONCLUSIONS: Fertility preservation using assisted reproductive technologies is safe and feasible for cancer patients. Despite eligibility, many declined treatment due to emotional, medical, or logistical factors. Cancer patients expressed distinct ethical views on embryo disposition, underscoring the need for individualized counseling and integrated oncofertility care.

- Differential Modulation of PPAR-γ and Aromatase by Pharmacotherapeutics in Danio rerio Ovaries: Mechanistic insights for PCOS Therapy. [Journal Article]Gene Expr Patterns. 2026 Oct 26; :119417. [Online ahead of print]GE
- Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a multifaceted reproductive endocrinopathy characterized by oligo/anovulation, cystic ovaries, and disrupted steroidogenesis. Inhibition of aromatase during steroidogenesis may be linked to dysregulation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR-γ), which could lead to aberrant estradiol synthesis and contribute to PCOS pathophysiology. Theref…

- CONCLUSIONS: BM-MSCs improved ovarian structure and function, ameliorating both metabolic and reproductive dysfunction in the PCOS rat model. BM-MSC transplantation yielded the most favorable outcomes, whereas BM-MSCderived culture media alone provided incomplete therapeutic benefits.

- Short-course letrozole restores fertility in aged azoospermic dogs. [Journal Article]
- Age-related azoospermia is a clinically important cause of male infertility in dogs, yet effective pharmacological treatments for aged males remain limited. Whether transient aromatase inhibition can restore fertility in aged azoospermic dogs without prolonged exposure is unclear.

- Baseline SII and SIRI identify immune-inflammatory susceptibility and improve risk stratification of early subclinical cardiac dysfunction during non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor therapy. [Journal Article]
- CONCLUSIONS: Baseline SII and SIRI were independently associated with study-defined composite cardiac dysfunction during NSAI therapy and provided incremental discrimination beyond conventional clinical variables.

- Overall survival with adjuvant ribociclib plus nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor in patients with high-risk HR+/HER2- early breast cancer: Six-year follow-up of the NATALEE trial. [Journal Article]Ann Oncol. 2026 Oct 23. [Online ahead of print]AO
- CONCLUSIONS: This prespecified descriptive 6-year OS analysis demonstrated positive OS results with a clinically relevant benefit of ribociclib plus NSAI, consistent with the increasing reduction in recurrence risk. These results reinforce the benefit of ribociclib plus NSAI in the adjuvant setting across the broad NATALEE-eligible population.

- FSH-secreting pituitary adenomas presenting with spontaneous ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome in children and adolescents: two cases, a literature review, and long-term follow-up. [Journal Article]J Pediatr Endocrinol Metab. 2026 Oct 26. [Online ahead of print]JP
- CONCLUSIONS: These cases provide 10 and 9 years of follow-up after diagnosis. Biochemical recurrence may occur independently of radiological tumor progression, and persistent ovarian stimulation from residual adenoma tissue may cause irreversible complications, including ovarian torsion. Long-term multidisciplinary surveillance with serial hormonal assessment, pelvic imaging, and pituitary MRI is essential, and early pituitary-directed intervention may prevent unnecessary gynecological surgery.

- Hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-low (HER2-low) metastatic breast cancer (MBC) constitutes the predominant subtype of advanced breast cancer, with most patients eventually developing resistance to endocrine therapy (ET) and cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors (CDK4/6i). This case report describes a 64-year-old woman with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-l…

- Anovulation is a common and heterogenous cause of infertility with significant implications for metabolic health. Ovulatory disorders arise from disruption of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis and are often characterized using the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics hypothalamic dysfunction, pituitary dysfunction, ovarian dysfunction, and polyendocrine metabolic ovarian sy…

- CONCLUSIONS: In letrozole-induced PCOS mice, metformin, flaxseed oil, and fish oil showed distinct impacts on neurobehavioral outcomes. The results indicate that several behavioural changes linked to experimental PCOS may be modulated by omega-3-rich oils; nevertheless, additional mechanistic and clinical research is required to determine their therapeutic significance.

- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a heterogeneous endocrine and metabolic disorder marked by hyperandrogenism, ovulatory dysfunction, insulin resistance, chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, arising from dysregulation across several interconnected molecular pathways. Because its pathogenesis is multifactorial, therapies targeting diverse biological processes at once remain scarce. Nerolid…
