  • Traumatic external jugular vein aneurysm after a kendo thrust (tsuki). [Case Reports]
J Vasc Surg Cases Innov Tech. 2026 Dec; 12(6):102498.Sugasawa S, Yahagi N, … Kumai JJV
  • Aneurysm of the external jugular vein is rare, and a traumatic case with a documented mechanism and pathological findings is exceptional. A woman in her 50s sustained a blunt injury to the left anterior neck from a kendo thrust (tsuki). One month later she developed a left cervical swelling. Ultrasound study and computed tomography showed a 2-cm saccular dilatation with a cranial filling defect, …
  • Perioperative Antiplatelet Therapy in the New Flow Diversion Era. [Review]
    J Neuroendovasc Ther. 2026; 20(1).Enomoto YJN
  • Flow diverter (FD) technology has provided a new concept for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms: reconstruction of the parent artery by covering the neck with a braided mesh stent. It has enabled us to treat not only saccular aneurysms but also complex aneurysms that were previously considered difficult or impossible to treat. Despite its clinical impact, FD remains associated with thromboem…
  • Delayed thrombosis of a ruptured anterior spinal artery aneurysm after prolonged morphological stability: illustrative case. [Journal Article]
    J Neurosurg Case Lessons. 2026 Sep 28; 12(13).Maeda Y, Nabika S, … Horie NJN
  • CONCLUSIONS: Delayed thrombosis can occur in ruptured ASA aneurysms that remain morphologically stable beyond the typical window for spontaneous regression. This case demonstrates a rare delayed thrombosis pattern after prolonged stability in a nondissecting saccular ASA aneurysm. Repeat angiographic evaluation is essential when intervention is delayed, as aneurysm status may change unexpectedly. Continued imaging surveillance remains warranted to confirm durability. https://thejns.org/doi/10.3171/CASE26474.
  • Imaging features of uterine submucosal pseudoaneurysm. [Journal Article]
Proc (Bayl Univ Med Cent). 2026 Sep 24; :1-3. [Online ahead of print]Phan Haghshenas M, Theruvath A, … Parikh RP
  • Submucosal pseudoaneurysms located within the uterine wall can be particularly challenging to diagnose due to their atypical location and nonspecific clinical presentation. We report the case of a 32-year-old woman presenting with heavy postoperative uterine bleeding following robotic myomectomy and endometriosis resection. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography angiography revealed an 8-mm left i…
  • Prenatal findings and postnatal outcomes in cases of closed spinal dysraphism: 10-year two-center cohort study. [Journal Article]

  • CONCLUSIONS: Using the Orphanet classification, prenatal ultrasound examination allows reliable anatomical characterization of CSD in 89.7% of cases. Motor outcomes are generally favorable, whereas urological morbidity is observed in nearly half of cases at 18 months. These are important elements to consider in prenatal counseling. © 2026 The Author(s).
